Location/ size of property, car parking outside. Fairly quiet and safe area.
Arrived at 6pm, opened key box to find it empty!! Had to call emergency number for help, they gave the number to the other key box with key inside. The outside temp was 2*, the house temp was 13* and very cold, took almost 24hrs to get the house warm. Toilet doesn’t flush properly, rear kitchen door to yard was unlocked. The company held a £200 deposit as planned 24hrs before arrival, but held another £200 24hrs after departure.

Nothing. Everything was great :)

The heating was efficient and there was plenty of hot water.
The property we had booked apparently became unavailable on the day we were due to arrive (no reason given) and another property was provided. The second property was further out of town than the one we originally booked (we didn’t have a car and there were very limited taxis available so had to walk), and had fewer amenities, despite this there was no discount. The chairs provided in the living room were just about adequate for 2 people (but not comfortable), definitely not for the 6 people that the property has beds for.

The bed was comfortable and clean and plenty of towels
I arrived late in the afternoon after a long drive from London only to discover the key code didn’t work so I initially couldn’t get in ! . Before I went out that evening I checked the doors were locked and discovered the back door was unlocked. I struggled to lock it and only managed when the neighbour, who was fortunately out in her garden , advised me on the procedure. It should not have been left unlocked ! Imagine if I hadn’t checked … a woman on her own ???
The kitchen smelt foisty .., dirty mop head or damp ? Crumbs were left on the dining table from a previous guest , spilled food in the fridge , someone’s dirty socks under the bed which were perfectly visible on entering the bedroom, receipts from previous guests in the drawers , coins on the floors in the lounge and bedroom. , thick layer of dust on the small portable mirror in the bathroom , grubby bathroom floor ( mopped but in need of a good scrub ) , no bathroom sink plug , no teabags as promised .., not one , no binliner in the kitchen bin resulting in fruit flies on my return on Saturday evening and Sunday morning , the view front and back gardens were full weeds . The house was anything but “ cosy “. It was not dirty but definitely grubby . I received a message from the owner asking me to let them know how my stay was and if there was a problem they would like to sort it out first . I related all this and was informed they wanted a solution , so I reasonably asked for a partial refund . They said no as I hadn’t informed them during my stay . I arrived late Saturday afternoon and went out Saturdsg night. The problems were there from the outset . What would they have done ….. sent cleaners / gardeners / maintenance round onSunday ??? I checked out at 10 am on Monday . In their literature it said £100 of my £240 was for cleaning . This is an absolute joke.

The host confirmed our booking very quickly as we booked on the day after leaving a bad Accomodation which we appreciated greatly.
Everything was great but there were lots of spiders and the fridge was defrosting but we didn’t mind as we understood it was a last minute booking and they would not have been able to get in before us turning up.

Lovely place to stay and base yourself while exploring the north east. As a solo traveller I felt safe and relaxed while there.
Loved everything.

New and modern. Very clean. The house has everything you need for a short or long stay. It’s a bit of a walk into town, but that did not bother me.
