The Old Lyric Hall - A St David Aparthotel

Comfy bed, good shower, spacious room, great to have kettle and fridge facilities. Quiet so good nights sleep. Great to see an old building bought back into use- great renovation and attention to detail.

Couldnt work out the heating in the room. would have been an issue in winter but we managed as the weather was ok- but would have liked to put radiators on to dry the towels after showers. Location was a bit grim and lack of parking.

The room is beautifully decorated well equipped & the bed is very comfortable.

The location is close to the town but the area is very run down nothing to do within the area would need to travel 20 odd miles or more. There was a quest smoking illegal substances in the court yard. Was woken early hours on the second night by other guests in a room near by arguing,fighting & slamming doors which lasted a few hours.

The room was large ans airy. Lots of space. I love the attention to small details like the little dog on the bed. The notices were friendly and helpful I felt totally welcomed

The bathroom was so hot because the towel rail is permanently on

I had a great stay at the Old Lyric Hall. The aparthotel provided a very practical and comfortable experience, the apartment was clean, spacious and well designed with the kitchen being fully equipped with the necessary appliances and cookware. This aparthotel a great choice for travelers seeking a clean, comfortable and convenient place to stay. I would fully recommend a stay here.

Breakfast was a nice selection of grab and go Items. The room was stunning and had everything you could need for a short to medium term stay. Location was nice and central, there was a large car park fairly near by.

The bed was very comfortable, but the quilt is quite thick. The room had a Dyson fan that solved the issue of being a bit hot.

the bed had bed bugs and we got bitten through the night. the bed was uncomfortable and too short and thin for a couple.

Appt was really nice and modern. Court yard was very nice also and whole place secure. Laundry on site also that they provided laundry detergent for and dryers.

Room far too hot even with windows open and dyson fan. On arrival had to get the manager out as room was filthy with dirty, smelly tea towels and food in cupboards ( crumbs of cheese etc ) Dust on radiators that was an inch thick and above bed. We had continental breakfast with our stay but milk was out of date on arrival - again manager replaced on our arrival. Nothing in room was replenished despite asking so continental breakfast did not work and barely existed. Staff very incompitent

The property was clean and easy to gain access. The room it self was nice and good amenities, with nice option on the mini bar

The room was extremely hot, the windows didn’t open enough. Struggled for parking as its permit holder only.

Absolutely everything, the mini fridge was full with a good selection of soft and alcoholic drinks, breakfast basket on the dining table on arrival, gorgeous lay out, just amazing.

There’s nothing we didn’t like

Clean, comfortable, nice shower, and well decorated. When your stay is longer than 4 days, they change bed covers after every 2 nights. Towels were the same if you put them in tbe shower.

There were 2 of us and only 1 set of towels. Couldn't work out the kitchen sink tap was far too hot. To wash up, we had to use sink in the bathroom. Oh and we only had 1 mug in the room. No parking at the venue, had to park in local car park, about 5 minutes walk away depending of course how fast you walk. Don't expect a beautiful view as you are amongst local housing estate.

A beautiful apartment which was very well equipped. The breakfast pieces were a nice touch.

Rebecca was so helpful and quick to help a mumma in need. The contentenial breakfast was a welcome touch - myself and my children loved the space.

The decor was excellent, they did an excellent job, it was so well designed, even better than tan the mainstream hotels. The service was good and the extra little attention to details made us feel really relaxed

No real hot breakfast, that should be ment in description properly. Some apples, serials and few muffins in the basket in the room. More like Airbnb type not a real hotel.

Great place to stay, very clean and cosy. The added benefit of a stocked fridge (payable) is a great added bonus. The breakfast is a great pick up and go selection which was ideal for me as I was heading out early morning.

I'd advised the owners that I was a vegan beforehand and arrived to find a (small) table groaning under the weight of plant-based products for breakfast, which was much appreciated. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. There were free-to-use washing machines and driers in a separate room downstairs which was very convenient. The kitchen, though not exactly over-equipped, was fine for knocking up a simple two-pot dinner.

The décor in the corridors was a sort of depressing brown/grey in that corporate 'lowest common denominator' style, which didn't really lift the spirits.

Self check in arrival was easy, our room as requested was on the ground floor, The Cavendish room (4). First impressions was excellent, everything you could wish for and more, big king sized bed, sky tv, small kitchenette with hob, microwave and fridge with payable mini bar, a really modern bright apartment. We had a nap and went out to find food.. upon our return we had 2+ hours of shouting, slamming doors, banging and screaming from rooms 2&3. The information book states quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am. At 10:10 I popped my head out of the door to ask them to keep the noise down, nothing changed so I messaged the owners on the app, it was replied to within minutes apologising and they would speak to the other residents, it stopped but still had them banging, shouting and slamming doors sporadically until around 3:30am. On top of this you have a very noisy bar with live music til 1am directly opposite the building.. then the band are loading their equipment into the van just outside of your bedroom window! Tbh at this point we were ready for leaving and returning home. Saturday night was marginally better but still with banging doors and the bar across the street! I think the owners need to adjust the soft door closers as they’re clearly not working. I wouldn’t return here which I’ve very sad as the apartments are perfect.

Great location in the centre of Barrow. Easy check-in process. Beautifully decorated, with everything you could want for a short stay. Highly recommended.

My son slept on the sofa bed, which wasn't the comfiest for one person, so two would probably struggle. Otherwise a great place to stay.
