Great stay good value for money

Great location clean and comfortable. Good facilities. Tea and coffee in the room the bed was comfortable the shower was good hand soap and shower gel provided.

The fan extractor in the shower didn't work so the small bathroom got very steamy.

Town centre stay close to all amenities

Excellent location with clean rooms and facilities. Sofa in the room so need to sit on bed with laptop to work which is always a bonus. Good shower facilities

It wasn't a didn't like and the host does warn of the noise on certain nights, and this wasn't from the hotel it was just Barrow is a party town...who knew? Do not let that put you off, i do sleep with the window open all year round so my own decision.

Good central town location, helpful and friendly team

Check in was very easy, the young man who greeted me was very polite and pleasant. The room was mostly clear, some small mess on the carpet by the bathroom, but overall the room was clean and tidy.

It would have been helpful to have dedicated car parking, however there is a large car park within 5 minutes walk, and it is complimentary after 3pm and all day Sunday. 10:30am checkout on a Sunday is too early... 11:30am / 12noon wold have been helpful!!

- Small room - Incredibly loud throughout weekends, as the hotel hosts clubbing parties, the floor below, therefore no privacy in the kitchen during night time on weekends

A nice pub/hotel. Very tidy rooms. Would recommend.

Central location. A little noisy because it is a pub but we knew this at the time of booking, everything was made clear upfront.

The shower in our room, 9, leaked to outside the shower tray. It didn't impact us at all but it's something that needs addressing from the hotels perspective.

The Derby keeps up a very good all round standard. Modern designer decor and good size televisions. Plenty to choose from by way of drinks and food. Friendly bar staff.👍😃👌

Comfortable nights sleep for a one night stay

The hotel felt very secure for a lone female traveller with entrance to the accommodation via a locked door away from the public area. The room was clean with tea/coffee facilities. The bed was comfy and the shower facilities on par.

Great short stay for Dave’s Day

This is a good old fashion pub. Busy bar, live bands. Even though there was a function on, we were told about this first and the music was to end at 12am. And sure enough it did. A great two night sleep.

Dave Day visit

Single clean room. Excellent shower and tea/coffee facilities spot on. noisy room (over the function room). To be fair I was warned when booking . Pub very busy so if you want quiet possibly try elsewhere. Location good for town and food available nearby so happy with the visit

Noisy but nice (avoid weekends & you'll be OK)

To be fair, the hotel did warn us in advance that the weekends were noisy, but we thought we'd take a chance on it because the price was good and having stayed there before (during the week) we knew there was a kitchen we could use with milk and cereal etc, very generous. It's a good central location, too. Staff were pleasant, the room was clean. I would recommend and return but only during the week. Never again on a weekend.

As I said before, we did have adequate warning from the hotel about the noise, with it being located above a pub, but it was much noisier than we imagined as there were two events going on as well as the usual pub noise. The music was very loud as were the attendees and we didn't sleep well either Friday or Saturday although Sunday was fine.

It would be great for younger people!

The pub was great and the staff were lovely.

There is no lift and we are 70+ so we sadly had to cancel our stay after the first night because three flights of stairs was just too much for us. I should have checked before booking!

Brilliant

Brilliant stay, lovely clean room and hotel. Very friendly staff, especually Mel, always on hand if any help was needed. Room was all that was needed, very comfy bed, perfect pillows and very powerful shower. The live music was really good and didn't hear it from room 9 where we stayed. Was lovely to be able to open the windows and let a breeze in unlike other hotels I've stayed in. Will be booking again for a couple of months time as a perfect weekend break from daily life.

Good value, centre of town accommodation.

Room was a good size, clean and spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with soap and toilet paper. Room is above a busy town centre pub, but there was no noticeable noise from below.

Minor thing really. It would have been nice to have some biscuits, as part of the tea/coffee facilities, but otherwise no complaints.

Lovely, Cheap and friendly - Actually probably stay again if the Bed is better.

Superb effort - Room - Really good with every effort for the same you expect from a expensive hotel. Suitable plugs for USB Adapters. TV with all free view channels tune.

Bed sadly, it was soft and slightly wobbly, I am large person. The Noise from outside at 4am didn't help. Double glazing is required. Of course the elephant in the room there is a bar underneath, not noticeable until 10:30pm
