Nice upmarket boutique hotel and bar

Lovely hotel - the room was well equipped and very clean including the public areas too. Great for an overnight stay and would stay again when visiting family in the nearby area. Probably one of the nicer hotels, bar and restaurant and centrally located with nearby paid parking. Check-in staff member was very friendly.

Nothing to dislike - although mid February the room was extremely warm and a bit too warm to sleep although the radiators were turned off and we opened the bedroom and bathroom windows upon arrival. Thankfully there was fan provided in the wardrobe - which helped a little - but still an uncomfortable temperature to get a good nights rest.

The only issue I felt was our room was right next to the enter and exit door to the stairs. We had people talking outside our door for a while first thing on a morning. Also we felt like our door was opening every time someone entered and left the building. Wasn’t anything major I would definitely stay again.

Clean, Central and good value for money.

The bedrooms we a very good size, but the ensuite was very tight. Everything was very clean, and the staff were helpfull.

These are very minnor issues, but they only did a continental breakfast. And the room I was alocated was up 3 flights of stairs, (a long way when you are knackered at the end of the day). Minor points as I said.

Loved it

The room was massive and clean and the bed was very comfy. Excellent for the price. The shower was amazing. I would go back just for that. The food in the bar was amazing but a little pricey.

There was no internet available on the customer wifi, this also meant several of the features on thw TV didnt work. The car park is also not in the locatin described. Its actually behind the nearby derby inn. Both are minor complaints. I would absolutley stay again.

The stains on the bedding. The heating not working. The fact that the room we was given was there old office (small) when the rest are big.. ut was freezing. Told the staff and they said "the radiators don't work in there because you don't need heating it's warm enough and that it might start working when people in other rooms switch there's on as it has to go round the whole heating system upstairs 1st. Which it didn't.

Lovely stay, would come again!

Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Despite being in the town centre and having a restaurant/bar within the hotel the room was quiet/we did not hear any outside noise. We are at the restaurant there and the food was delicious and generous portion sizes without being too much food. Reasonably priced for the quality /standard of the hotel.

Luxury in Barrow town centre

Central location Extremely clean and tidy room Immaculate presentation Wasn't expecting full kitchenette type area and the breakfast bar, so this was lovely

The 2nd window didn't open, wasn't a huge issue but would have preferred the one by the bed to open vs the other, but nothing to mark down on in anyway.

wouldn't stay again, due to the noise of slamming doors all night

Location was perfect as we were going to a surprise party across the road at the derby inn. Bed was very comfy and decor was funky and gave us a laugh.

The room just needs repairing a bit, the fan was covered in rust, just looked awful in the corner of the room, the carpet is in bad condition, very thin, worn and you can see the carpet grippers, im glad i didnt stand on one. Doors were slamming all night, i didn't get more than an hours sleep and that's not good when i had to drive over 4 hours home the next day. woke up and the room was freezing, radiator was cold.

Not a boutique hotel.

It was a good base for what we needed.

TV did not work. It was a streaming only service which was fine but it didn’t work. Internet was poor. Staff were poor. Claims to be a boutique hotel it’s not. The headboard was so wide it kept turning the spot lights on and off it was like being in a disco!! Plugs at the side of the bed were also behind the headboard. Again not boutique.

Modern, clean, excellent facilities and conveniently located. The housekeeping lady was super friendly and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. Super value for money. We'd stay again in a heartbeat and we've already recommended it to several friends.

smart reliable central location

location is in central shopping area, and really close to local courts and rail station. The room was spacious and high quality, with good kettle and hot drinks provision, as well as a desk to work at. perfect for me

Close to the centre. Room and bed both a good size. Kettle, fridge and toaster all good to have available. Who doesn't like toast? Free parking was available around the corner.

Instructions for air con would have been good. Room got too warm. If you are offering breakfast make sure you offer a cooked one. A continental breakfast is for abroad not UK.

Great room and location

The location was ideal for us. The parking was available and although limited we didn't struggle at all. Only met staff twice, once on check in and the next when they dropped off a key card. The room was a really good size, sink, kettle, toaster and fridge all in the room rather than having to traipse to the bathroom for water.

Lots of steps to the room. The cost of putting in a lift wouldn't be worthwhile but having staff offer to help you in and out of the premises would have been good. The lack of a hot breakfast. The location of toilet and shower was a little odd, but made the most of available room and kept the room square. Some of the lightbulbs on the stairs didn't work and there was cracking in the walls there - attention to detail/maintenance would benefit the premium status of the venue.

Attentive staff and greaf location!

We had a great two night stay to attend a wedding. The manager was so attentive and helpful, he made sure we could get parked and was great when we came into the bar the next day with some of the wedding guests. The food was amazing in the bar, our party of 10 where really impressed, Room was well equipped with everything we would need and a perfect location for what we needed.

Our room was quite warm, however tbere was a fan which was great!
