1st night no heating or hot water in my 2nd floor room. Problem solved as soon as I reported it and no further issues.

Nice, warm, grand interior, comfortable. Shame about the (lack of) breakfast.

The rooms were warm & comfortable, check in was easy and the staff were generally quite chilled out

I was unable to get breakfast after arriving at 8:55am. I was informed that the cooked breakfast was only served until 9. This information wasn’t made easily available to customers. The breakfast staff showed no flexibility in cooking for me. There was no filter coffee at breakfast, only instant coffee. I thought that breakfast should be served later than 9am. I think there is an issue with the service times as much as the way that these are enforced.

Not the hotels fault, but there are regular contractors that stay and they snore really loudly. You can even hear them through the thick walls. But not the hotels fault, and the staff always try and move me if they can

Very cosy, comfortable room, everything clean. Excellent location not far from high street and retail parks, walking distance,bus links steps away,short walk to train station. Fantastic breakfast, friendly helpful staff.

Not pleasant at all

Staff were very friendly and room clean but the hall and stair carpets were disgusting and smelly. When I walked out of my room the smell hit me. There were badly stained and stomach churning awful . The breakfast was good and the room clean and tidy but this hotel is so old , tired and smelly it wasn’t a pleasant stay .

Location is great, right in the town centre. Good value, quiet. Bed was good. Decent bath/shower. Breakfast made to order. Friendly and efficient staff.

Room hadn't been cleaned properly, crisps on floor by bed, unemptied bin. No dead lock from inside door. Small TV with nothing worth watching, and no radio channels that I could find. Couldn't get on to the Wifi. Tiny desk

awful in every way!

quite frankly nothing!

staff were rude and officious. onsite parking consisted of around 15 spaces for what was a 4 storey hotel. room was tired and badly set out. carpets on landings were in a terrible state. £50 taken from account and card details had given (including security code) in case you did more than £50 worth of damage! this was non negotiable and when i queried why i had to give my security number I was all but shown the door!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was nice- good choice of drinks, good style. Central location. room had everything you need- toiletries, kettle, comfy bed, table. Quiet enough. Spacious room. Plenty breakfast choices. Good.

I haven't got any complaints about my stay at all. There was nothing wrong with this stay or the facilities. It's not a 5* hotel. You get what you pay for. But OYO Imperial did exactly what was needed and expected

Lovely stay, friendly, helpful staff,we stayed in a refurbished room,comfy bed and pillows, lovely white towels and bath sheets,unfortunately the bar area wasn't open,but it looks beautiful and cosy, breakfast was hot and made to order. Would stay here again if ever in the area.

At first, when we saw the stair carpet, it was stained and dirty, but understood it was because it's still under refurbishment, it will be lovely when works finishes, we wasn't disturbed by any work still going on.

The description says it's a TV, but it's not a smart TV. It didn't say it was, since I can't see anything on it, which is very disappointing. There must be something wrong with the pipes because after flushing and taking a bath, there is a lot of noise in the pipes and it disturbs my sleep because it happens every time someone uses the toilet. It's not good for a time when I'm supposed to relax.

Ticking off Barrow while doing the “92”

Location and parking were perfect for our trip. Couldn’t fault the price either for a room with a double bed each (4 of us) for 2 nights and free breakfast included. Staff on both day shift and night shift were great and very helpful.

Despite ongoing refurbishment I had a quiet and comfortable stay and the hotel was clean. The lift. Such a relief to have a lift.

My pillow was very hard. Carpets throughout stairs and corridors obviously waiting to be replaced were dreadful but they are working hard to fix up the hotel.

Central location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good sized rooms and bathrooms. Our rooms were lovely and clean. Comfy, clean beds and good sized bath towels. Loved to decor in the bar area. Cooked breakfast was really nice and there was a good selection of cereals, juices, tea and coffee all served by friendly staff. We were looked after very well.

There was nothing to dislike about this property for us. Would love to go back once the renovations are complete and see how it looks without the scaffolding.

It was great for what we paid, but if had to be picky, bathroom could do with a deep clean, was dusty and the shower drain was smelly and didn’t drain. We had the cleaning cupboard next to our room and staff were in and out a lot starting quite early and woke us a few morning with the noise. We would defo go back tho.

Good location in centre of town , easy to walk to local restaurants etc. under cover parking which was useful as having a motorcycle. Good breakfast section available . All staff were excellent & helpful. Property under major refurbishment which wasn’t a problem . Be good to see when it’s finished .

Cheaper than local Travelodge, with bonus of a decent breakfast included

A good breakfast including cooked to order items. Friendly and helpful staff throughout our visit. We were lucky to find onsite undercover (not secure) parking. Refurbished room was clean if pretty basic.

Despite room refurbishment being done, one outer wall was already discoloured in patches. Breakfast service midweek ends at 9.00, a little early for leisure travellers. Corridor noise disturbed us.
