Best district for us in Porto, stayed there before and it's ideal for us to get round the craft beer bars & local food restaurants. Lively area, but not noisy and has a very safe feel. Apartment had three separate bedrooms, all with comfortable doubles which is unusual. Check-in & out was very simple.
We were in the basement apartment and it did feel like a cellar conversion in need of some ventilation technology. Apart from a handful of fixes that we've suggested to the owner it was functionally OK. The only other thing to be aware of is that the mezzanine lounge has a VERY low ceiling.
