We were met at the apartment for the keycard handover and the lady showed us around, showed us where everything was and how to operate the air conditioning which is warm or cold depending on time of year and your preferred level of comfort. The apartment was very clean and the photos on Booking.com are representative of what to expect. There is a lift in the block so you don't have to lug your suitcases up to the 2nd floor. The kitchen is fairly well-equipped if you cook for yourselves although we would have liked a measuring jug and the cooking knives were very blunt. We found the bed/sofa bed comfortable and unlike other reviewers we found the pillows to be just right, all a matter of preference I suppose.There is a manual in the apartment with useful information on how to operate the washing machine and other appliances plus information about local supermarkets etc.Towels in the bathroom were clean, of a good size and there is shower gel provided. We contacted the owner on the last day as there was an error message on the boiler when the hot water was used, someone came out within 30 minutes but it needed an engineer-he arrived the next day as we were leaving so hopefully it will have been fixed. The apartment is accessible to Porto centre and the Douro river, however be prepared to walk up and down some steep hills!
We both had trouble with the internal doors in the apartment, none of them fit well and the bathroom door was a struggle to close (it doesn't have a key for the lock either). Neither of us were able to move the dividing door that separates the living room/sofa bed area from the kitchenette and when the sofa bed is in use there is nowhere to sit in the living room.The bathroom does not have enough light as the room is quite gloomy given that the tiles are dark brown, I feel that more light is needed especially in the shower area. The apartment faces the road which is a busy thoroughfare and cobbled so there is a lot of road noise, however you are provided with earplugs by the owner which help at night (there is a bar opposite which can be noisy at night too).

Very nice and big apartment for 4. The sofa bed is a real bed! The kids slept so well!! The staff was very attentive and promptly answered all my requests.

Excellent location and really spacious apartment. The check-in process was smooth and the host was really nice and well responsive over messages as well.
Great value for money and would recommend 100% if you're in Porto :)

The location of the apartment is great, it’s close to supermarkets and many different restaurants. Fabio and his team were quick to respond and helpful - when we wanted to be able to open the windows, Fabio organized that the windows be unlocked.
The property is good for a short stay for 2 people - we stayed for 2 weeks while working remotely and missed a few things that would make the stay more comfortable. The couch is unfortunately really uncomfortable so sitting on it isn’t really an option. If you are working remotely, it’s important to know there is a construction site next door that’s loud during work hours.
