Sigiriya Rock View Tree house

Wat een leuke ervaring om in een boomhut te slapen. Het huisje staat op een mooie en verscholen plek maar toch dicht bij het centrum. De twee broers zijn super vriendelijk en hebben eigen tuktuk service. Ontbijt heel goed verzorgd. Terras boven zorgt voor een windje.

De accommodatie heeft alleen dit huisje. Voor ons geen enkel probleem en vonden het juist een leuke ervaring om niet in een hotel - keten te verblijven.

Très bonne adresse sur Sigiriya . Nos deux hôtes ont été d un gentillesse et d une disponibilité extraordinaire. Pour se rendre en centre ville afin de dîner à Sigiriya vous envoyer un whazapp au propriétaire qui procède un Tuck Tick et pourra vous déposé en ville et venir vous rechercher . Il n'est pas conseillé de se déplacer a pied à la tombée de la nuit sur Sigiriya au risque de croiser des éléphants sauvages pouvant vous chargé. Le petit déjeuner proposé est très copieux et variés vous faisant découvrir des spécialités Sri Lankaise.

Le Wifi est présent mais le signal est un peu faible

Was really cool place to spend a few nights in Sigiriya, immersed in nature but not too far from places to eat. Was about 15 minutes away from food which you could walk to in the day time, but would need a tuk tuk when it’s dark, which the family were happy to organise every-time. Breakfast was delicious and the family that run the place are very friendly. They organised a safari for us where we saw lots of elephants. We also saw two wild elephants in the fields next door which was very cool. Overall a great place to stay.

Overall it was great, but it can be a bit tricky to access. The family are very happy to drive you around in their tuk tuk (for food or hikes etc), which you will be charged for at the end. The wifi also didn’t really work but there was signal so using data is fine. Also be aware that they use firecrackers to scare away the elephants. We didn’t know this and found the loud bangs very distressing, but the family very quickly came and told us what was going on.
