Green Lake Sigiriya

Sehr gutes Frühstück, sehr nette Familie! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren traurig weiterreisen zu müssen. In der Nacht haben wir sogar einen Elefanten an der Unterkunft vorbeilaufen gesehen! Die Besitzer haben uns immer überall mit ihrem Tuktuk hingebracht und alle Wünsche erfüllt. Wir durften nachmittags auschecken ohne Aufpreis. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!!

It was not far from the main attractions like Lions rock and Pidurangala. The family are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Very peaceful.

You can’t walk anywhere you have to get a tuk tuk or taxi. The family will take you to town and other places in their tuk tuk but agree a price before hand as they charge more than the average. The room is basic. The shower stopped working, stayed 3 nights and the room was never cleaned. The towels were threadbare and smelt. There was ants in the bedroom and bathroom so unable to unpack anything. There’s nowhere to put luggage/clothes. Check how much they charge especially if you’re booking on booking.com. I was quoted the price in US dollars and the family wanted LKR. When I converted the money the family were asking for more. I paid without arguing as it does help the family but if you’re on a budget I would check it before paying.
