Sigiri Lake Paradise

I’m honestly lost for words about this place. Chami and his family are the perfect hosts, incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, offering us whatever we asked for and so much more. Chami’s mother even offered us a free cooking class, which we couldn't take at the time during to time limitations, but sounded very good. They were all incredibly sweet, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. The room we stayed in was by far the most beautiful room we booked during our time in Sri Lanka. The view is simply breathtaking, overlooking the lake with Lion Rock visible in the distance. One morning, we woke up early and were incredibly lucky to spot a wild elephant grazing near the lake, an unforgettable moment. The house is surrounded by a serene, beautifully cared for garden, filled with plants that Chami and his mother have planted and looked after themselves. In the mornings, the garden comes alive with birds of all kinds, including tiny hummingbirds flying around and filling the air with their songs. If I could give this place 6/5, I absolutely would. A truly beautiful stay, made even more special by the warmth and generosity of Chami and his family. Easily one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Sri Lanka. ❤️

Absolutely beautiful family-owned and operated property. Truly remarkable experience. We arrived late and asked them to prepare dinner, and a delicious dinner was prepared and served with smiles on their faces. Thank you and thumbs up!
