While this building is clean and modern, beware that the elevator goes only to the 3rd floor - so if you're room is on the 4th floor, you will need to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. Our room was VERY VERY small, even by european standards. The (king sized) bed was also basically on the ground. There was not enough space in the room for my husband and I to have our small (carry on sized) suitcases opened at the same time. Also the opening to the shower is very narrow! The Japanese toilet was a nice perk. Kerns is a very small town, and to get there you need to take a city bus from Sarnen (short ride). The hotel has a restaurant and there are a few other restaurants in town, but it is a mostly residential town. I would not stay at this hotel again - but it is clean, safe and modern. Check in was fully automated and you can unlock your door with your smartphone - however it is difficult to reach staff if there is an issue.

Very modern and clean. Beds were comfortable and amenities were awesome. Had trouble finding parking especially since we reached at 12:30 in the night. As most European hotels there was no AC and it was very hot in the room even though we had fans. I don’t think the self check-in was very efficient when it came to getting answers to some imminent questions like parking, AC, possibility of a late checkout.

Our particular room was on top of the building which is ok, but hotel lights on the roof were coming into our room so it was difficult to sleep with so much light. The curtains are not blackout and there are no blinds on the windows. The church bells ring last at 10pm and then again from 6am - maybe the lights can be kept off for this time as well.

Check in is done by a machine so good luck if something is not working be prepared to wait a long time to check in to your room. Only few parking places available and always full. Below average hotel definitely not worth the money. Book elsewhere.

Berg Hotel or Hotel’s.com deceived the customer with wrong contract and different pictures. Contact clearly mentioned one Double Bed and Sofa Double bed with large room with table and chairs. But the room has no table and chairs even there is no double sofa bed. I wouldn’t book this hotel with proper information. This is clear violation of contract and trust through Hotel’s com. I requested a feedback to hotel but no body answered. I again requested the proper reimbursement and this kinds of hotel which violating contact should disappear from Hotel’s .com since I reserved this hotel based on trust on this platform. I request to the HOTEL’s .com to contact me next step of reimbursement. Otherwise, I would upload my room conditon with pictures and difference in contract to social media to prevent further loss from other customers like me. Please give me a feedback by 25.04.2025 midnight.

The hotel looks to be renovated and uses a digital key to open the front sliding door and room door. I was sent a link with my reservation info and the digital keys. Opened the link on my phone and swiped the digital key to open the door. My concern was whether their WiFi would be working, which is needed to open the link. Cell signal on my phone was spotty there. Parking was in the rear of the hotel on parking spots with yellow lines. Coop market was next door, which was very convenient. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. The person at the front desk spoke English, which was a big plus My room was very quiet. Couldn't hear the Church bells ringing across the street About 1.5 hours to drive to Lauterbrunnen from there, but the price was just right for us, so we didn't mind the drive I would stay there again.

Somehow I accidentally booked a room on their very first night open, which was a bit of a surprise to me upon arrival but I wasn't mad about it. The front dest staff was very kind and welcoming. The room was nice and clean although the bed was a bit lumpy and there was no soap in the dispensers in the shower. I would stay here again.

Berg & Berg Hotel was an outstanding hotel, excellent service, friendly and welcoming staff, easy parking, high standard & quality, brand new property. On arrival we found out we’re their very first guests and it was opening day. We were treated like celebrities and invited to join in the night’s celebrations, a nice evening. Very pleasant and professional owners. Greeted us next morning, thanked us for our stay and choosing their hotel and made sure everything was okay with our stay.
