The family who run this guesthouse are warm and kind. They paid attention to little details which was lovely. I had a peak at the Bamboo house also for rent on this property and it was incredible.
Only downside is the location next the busy road. But that wasn’t an issue from my room and didn’t affect sleeping.

The homestay is very confortable, it has an amazing view on rice terraces owned a part by the family hosting us, and the mountains. It’s very calm and relaxing. The traditional coking was very delicious. And above all the family was lovely and very nice. They will make you feel at home.
The only thing is that sometimes it gets a bit noisy when the cars on the road above are passing by. And there is no hot water, but it’s absolutely not a problem since it’s always warm outside.

Very nice room to stay. Beautiful view to the mountain. Very calm. There is a bar to have meals/drinks
You need transport to Sidemen, about 10 min by motorbike. Its very isolated in case you want to go out

Cheap, clean
COLD WATER ONLY, we left early and found another hotel

It was a lovely location in the countryside and felt very authentic. We enjoyed the breakfast as well.
There was no hot water here, so we had cold showers. However the water was nice and fresh and not too cold.

We loved everything about this place! The nature around us was beautiful, the room was very comfortable and the people there were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food is also really great! There was no hot water, but in the end it was no problem, we enjoyed the cold shower too :) if we ever come back to Bali, we will definitely spend more days here. Thank for everything!
Everything was perfect! :)

Owners go out of their way to ensure you see the local spots.
Awesome views and hospitality.
A few trucks at night but not soo bad

stunning view of the rice fields, very serene surrounding
No hot water in the shower. It's a family-owned place, which is very nice, but one of the family members was not very welcoming. The rooms are rather small, with very low ceilings, and they heat up quickly - almost unbearable to sleep in without leaving the doors open, since the AC isn't working properly (it's more of a fan).

Stunning view, rooms are big, spacious, well decorated, new and extra super clean (actually one of the cleanest I have ever met here). Bonus is a new TV with netflix.
NO HOT WATER. And this is the basics. We climbed Agung mountain and we're dreaming about the hot shower after to get rid of mud and release muscle pain, and were very surprised it is not available here

Wayan and his family were the best hosts I had in Bali. They are very fun and caring people. The food was great, also the best Nasi Goreng and Mi Goreng I had in Bali. The rooms and living area are new and from the bed you will have a great view of the countryside landscape. Also from the restaurant there is an amazing view! Wayan also rents out scooters so you can be mobile and discover the area where you will find lots of waterfalls and amazing temples. Wayan helps you with everything and is always there to solve your problem, if you have one. He will also offer to bring you everywhere with his car if you plan to do some activities... I loved this place and was really sad when I had to leave. Beautiful family - beautiful place!

English Version.
Mixed experience in a family-run hotel in Sidemen
Positives:
- The room was very clean and well-maintained.
- The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable — ome of the best we’ve had in Bali!
- The simple homemade food was delicious, especially the local dishes.
Negatives:
- No hot water in the shower, which was inconvenient.
- The hotel is close to an extremely busy road, and truck noise was disruptive, especially at night.
- Limited dining options: the hotel restaurant was closed two nights in a row due to local ceremonies.
- Sidemen itself is quiet to not say boring —two nights max felt sufficient, as most interesting activities require very long, and chaotic drives (transport is an adventure in itself!).
- The breakfast variety was very basic and repetitive.
- Tourist pricing mindset: Some Balinese interactions felt transactional (e.g., short-term upselling vs. fostering trust), which dampened the experience.
Conclusion:
A decent stay for a very very short stopover if you prioritize cleanliness and comfort, but Sidemen’s remote location and logistical challenges make it unfortunately not ideal at all for longer stays.
Conclusion :

Enyhe doh szag a mellette lévő patak miatt.
