Balinese unforgettable experience

We spent a wonderful three days at Green Vanilla. We were delighted by the kindness of Mudi and her family. She go out of her way to make us feel at ease. And they organized some wonderful activities for us. The cooking activity, going shopping at the local market, picking vegetables from their garden, and then cooking everything Balinese-style, was an unforgettable experience. The ebike tour to quickly discover the rice fields and hidden areas was also very good, and they adapt to all levels. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy an authentic and immersive experience in Balinese culture and feel surrounded by their kindness and friendliness.

This is the Bali experience I dreamed of. Suksma

Green Vanilla is an oasis in Bali. The host Mudi and everyone else who works there goes out of their way to welcome you and make you feel home. The bungalows are so lovely to stay in, very clean and comfortable. The ac and hot water is also very nice. The front porch with the hammock on the bungalow is so relaxing! The restaurant and cooking class on site is AMAZING. Many other people come from nearby places just for the amazing food. I felt so lucky to stay here and call this home for my time in Sidemen.

The cats and dogs wandering around were the only downside. There were only three, but they were in quite poor condition and not clean. It’s not the property’s fault as there are many stray dogs all over Bali, but maybe they could do more to keep them away.

Lovely rural location surrounded by rice fields and nice helpful staff

We loved staying in the Green Vanilla - it is located in a completely rural area overlooking rice fields. The family running the place is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is really nice with fruits straight from the farm in which the place is located. Loved the place

Pleasant surprise in a rustic bohemian cabin set in gorgeous scenery, with excellent breakfast.

Beautiful peaceful location. Very sociable quality to the place, dreamy rustic cabins with a lot of charm and character, excellent breakfast.

I didn’t dislike anything about it. In future I would recommend installing screens on the windows, as the mosquitos were pretty intense.

Beautiful location, what a nourishing, lush green view to wake up to and be surrounded by. This place really made me fall in love with the beauty of Sidemen. The sound of the wind moving through the leaves and the sunlight dappling the grounds makes you feel relaxed and happy. You must visit the nearby rivers, ask the staff for directions and transport. Literally farm to table for some of the fruits. Vegan food was so delicious, the tempe coconut curry was one of my best meals in Bali. They hold cooking classes too, heard good reviews from others. The shared seating areas are so calming. The swing was fun and such a great view to look out at! Bed is comfy. Thankful for the much needed mosquito net. Utterly in love with their sweet cow, 2 kittens and dog and miss them already! Staff were generally helpful, sweet, kind and gentle, thank you so much for helping me :) Tami especially was a real gem! She was generous, appreciative, fun and made me feel welcome, safe and cared for in a way that still respected my personal space. Great that you can pay by card for the room and meals.

Main door couldn't close properly and open bathroom meant loads of mosquitoes. Had to light incense each time I was in the room or bathroom. Would have liked a stronger water pressure. No soundproofing. Each time someone walked in the next door hut you can hear each footstep creak. And if people spoke near your hut you would hear every word clearly. If you are in the hut closest to the kitchen, you will wake up once the staff start talking in the morning so can't sleep in. Was quite uncomfortable with one of the female staff, who was at times too loud, attention-seeking, touchy and intrusive and didn't know how to respect basic boundaries. At check-in, I really wanted to take a shower but they had forgotten to replenish the toiletries.

Beautiful view and charming staff

This place has a gorgeous view and the staff including Moedy and Tami were so kind. They cooked delicious food for every meal and treated me like family. It was a lovely place to spend a couple days and unwind!

-the loveliest and most accommodating staff (we love you Mudi, Jero and Mindi!) - good choices for breakfast (smoothie bowl, eggs, amazing pancakes) -lots of cozy places to spend time (hammock, couches) -peaceful and relaxing with views of rice paddies and Mount Agung. -cooking class! incredible.

the bungalow clearly did not have been maintained for a long time. Also cleaning wasn’t done very well. the klamboe was filthy. we booked for two nights but left after one night.

Un bel endroit atypique. Cadre magnifique. Par contre aucune isolation. Pour nous c’était la fête du temple. Beaucoup de bruit tard dans la nuit et tôt le matin. Cela ne nous a pas dérangé malgré tout.

Séjour très agréable bien que pluvieux

L'endroit est charmant ,pittoresque, loin du tourisme de masse. L'environnement est très beau ,verdoyant avec cultures et rizières. Le personnel est extrêmement gentil et la bonne humeur de Muddy a ensoleillé notre séjour pluvieux. Cours de cuisine supers avec courses au marché et cueillette dans les champs.

Les bungalows auraient besoin d'un peu de rénovation.

Fajne klimatyczne miejsce wymagające kilku poprawek

Gospodyni Mudi ma wielkie serce i przyjęła nas z otwartymi ramionami. Okolica jest cudowna a domki klimatyczne.

W naszym domku, a raczej jego ścianach ewidentnie coś żyło. Pół nocy jakieś zwierzaki buszowały w ścianach nie dając spać. Posiłki jak dla mnie średnie i ogromny minus za czas oczekiwania. Zamawiasz śniadanie na 8:30 dostajesz o 9:00. Ostatniego dnia poprosiliśmy o śniadanie na 8:00 zaznaczając że o 9:00 będzie po nas kierowca i musimy zdążyć na prom. Otrzymaliśmy o 8:45 i jedliśmy w biegu. Dodatkowo na terenie obiektu jest dużo owadów.

Tutto. Lo staff é cordiale e familiare. Ti mettono a proprio agio in tutto. I bungalow sono spaziosi e hanno la loro riservatezza. Immersi nella natura con una vista sulle risaie pazzesca. Colazione molto buona. La loro ospitalità e gentilezza ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Abbiamo approfittato di un giorno di pioggia per fare il corso di cucina (giro al mercato locale per comprare gli ingredienti che mancavano e corso di cucina eccellente con spiegazione e pratica in gruppo). Consiglio assolutamente

Incroyable emplacement en pleine nature, face aux rizières et au milieu des arbres fruitiers… Petit hôtel très calme et authentique, le personnel est au petit soin et la cuisine est excellente ! Merci Mudi et toute l’équipe, je regrette juste de ne pas être restée plus longtemps !!

Le seul petit bémol est qu’il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude pour la douche, mais on s’y fait très vite et ça devient même revigorant !

Une belle expérience proche de la nature

L’emplacement est dans la nature, éloigné mais superbe et entouré de rizières. Les chambres sont simples mais confortables. Le personnel est sympathique et serviable, avec mention spéciale à Wajan pour ses bons plans et à Mudi pour sa bonne humeur. La cooking class était exceptionnelle. L’endroit reste un très bon choix pour profiter du calme et de l'ambiance authentique de Sidemen.
