Ella v responsive and helpful - clean well kitted out flat

Location not great by v busy flyover - soundproofing v good . NCP car park opposite but sign up saying it would be closed Fri - sun But it wasn’t closed after all Parked car in another smaller NCP which tbh didn’t look the safest

Good location, hot water issues, not good value for money.

The location of the apartment is incredible. A 10 minute walk and you are into the city centre. The host was very prompt at responding to queries. We stayed for 2 nights- 4 adults and one baby. They provided a cot with a pillow and blanket which was nice. Rooms were nice and big. Security deposit returned quickly- only delay was with the bank.

1. Hot water went on day 2 in the morning whilst my baby was in the bath, we managed to fill the bath up to her hips but when it came to getting fresh water to wash her hair and clean her down, the water was freezing. We then went to the boiler cupboard to see if there was anything we could do, we pressed the boost button which apparently we’re not supposed to touch. There was still no hot water so my mother in law and I had to fill the kettle about approx 6-7 times to keep the bath water warm, and to also wash her hair which we then had to do by mixing cold water and the kettle boiling water. Amidst this drama, I informed the host that this was unacceptable (this is something I feared as I had read a review at the time of booking which complained of the same thing). We then spoke and instead of apologising she proceeded to accuse me of lying because she has had this property for 2 years and never had an issue apparently (I reminded her of the review which said the same thing- and what’s worse is that I actually messaged her at the time of booking and told her that I have a baby and to not have hot water would be a nightmare. She assured me the review was not accurate). Let me confirm that my review is accurate, I’m not sure about the other person but I myself have absolutely no reason to lie about there being no hot water- I had already paid! What would that achieve ? I explained the same to her and took her through step by step what I had done. Whilst I was on the phone to her, it had been about 30 mins since the boost button had been pressed so I put the tap on and I said oh look the water is coming now - this is because of the boost. She once again became defensive and said I had changed my story. She accused myself and my husband of lying and overall was very hostile. I have NEVER met a more deluded and disrespectful host in my life. There was absolutely no basic customer service skills.

The apartment was a good size with well equipped kitchen

There was no hot water for washing up or showers. There was no emergency information and the fire alarm sounded woth 4 fire trucks arriving on scene. There was a constant smell of weed and the building is on a main road junction so it was noisy at night.

Brilliant apartment in a great location.

Apartment was lovely and spacious, very clean and tidy, comfortable beds, it had everything we could possibly of needed. Great location, only a short stroll up to the city centre. Will definitely stay here again if I come back to leicester.
