Bujtina Shkambi

This guesthouse is an absolute dream! The hosts are so lovely and welcoming and the house and grounds are gorgeous. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast both days that we stayed and it was by far and away the best food we have had in our whole trip. The vegetables are fresh from the garden, the milk is fresh from their cows and even the wine and raki are home made. So much delicious food that we were very happy to get in a good hike while we were there. The Theth to Valbona walk starts just down the path from the accommodation and you are saved the steep slog up the road from town. You can walk up to the pass and back again. We did it in approximately 2 hours each way so it's a nice day hike. We enjoyed an afternoon lazing in the hammocks listening to the insects and cow bells. Or you can take a swim or play volleyball on the grass court. Delicious, fresh, cold water is available from the constantly flowing spring in the courtyard as well. We will be back and next time we will stay longer!

Fantastische leuke overnachtingen gehad op zeer bijzondere locatie. Echt de warmte van een familie gerund pension. Heerlijk eten uit eigen tuin.

De weg ernaartoe is alleen bereikbaar per jeep. De familie bij het hotel is enorm behulpzaam om je weg te brengen en op te halen.

We both started and ended our Peaks of the Balkans trek there and it could not have been better. Wonderful family who runs the place and takes care of everything you may need. Incredible food (the best we had on the trek) plus homemade wine and raki included. And the general setup with the beautiful garden and the vegetable garden is just amazing. I could not recommend this place more. You can only get there walking or by 4WD but they will pick you up and/or drop you off in town if needed.

Incredible beautiful place and location, Albanian hospitality at its best with homemade traditional food. The location is a little walk from the Valbona trail and you won’t have to do the boring part down from the city. The family will pick you up from the Theth cause the last bit of the road is only for 4x4 car
