Villa Davisol

The view from the Villa was really good, the staff is very friendly (although they speak little to no english, but you can always find a way to communicate). The breakfast was the best we had in all our days in Albania, very tasty, very complete and freshly made. Also the bed is comfortable.

The room was a bit small (as the photos suggest), very hot with no AC (also said in the Booking page), but it has poor sound isolation, I could hear the next door neighbors speaking and snoring. The blinds didn't block the sun light. It's not near the Theth center but it's on the way and has limited parking on the property itself, but you can park on an upper parking, has stair access. Also the door to the bathroom was wooden and the shower water goes there so it has mold and it's falling apart at that corner. It also had a foul smell sometimes, sewage-like, but it dissipated quickly and only bothered us a bit.

We really enjoyed our stay here. David and his family is really cooperative and the bread for breakfast too good. One or two things needs improvement is jet spray's pressure and some ventilation of the air inside the room considering the heat of teth. Rest everything was perfect. Thank you David, such a sweetie😘🤩

The view was incredible and the host was so nice. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and loved the fried bread on the weekend.

Our unit had a wet bathroom, meaning the shower would flood the bathroom floor each time. It’s manageable but we didn’t expect it.

The location was nice, if you have a car it’s easy to drive down into Theth. There was parking on the premises, which was convenient. The room itself was adequate and the bathroom had cute tiles. The view from the patio was incredible, as well as from the room on the fourth floor. Breakfast included a big pitcher of mountain tea, which I really enjoyed every morning. The kids work hard and speak English well.

Several things left us disappointed with this guesthouse. Firstly, the owners didn’t speak any English, and while the kids tried their best to help, we just didn’t feel the connection and hospitality that we’ve experienced at other guesthouses in Albania. We tried to make some efforts but in the end, it just felt kind of awkward. Moreover, there were power outages, which is understandable due to the location, but at some point the water just stopped working for an hour when we wanted to shower. When we tried to communicate with the host about it, he couldn’t really explain and just shrugged his shoulders. Additionally, when we took a shower one day, we had to stop because the water was going through the floor and coming down into the room below us. The breakfast was nice, but very heavy with fried doughnuts and there was no variation in the 5 days we stayed there. We really wanted to like this place, but it just wasn’t our favorite.
