GUEST HOUSE “ Center Theth “

Simple but good accommodation, centrally located near the bridge, restaurants, and the starting points of several hiking trails. The rooms are basic but clean and offer everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner is very friendly and a funny character. He barely speaks English, but communication is still easy thanks to his printed instructions in English. Free parking is available in a meadow next to the property, and free drinking water is available from the tap in the common room. Breakfast is a simple self-service concept, offering good bread, jams, vegetables, cheese, and typical Albanian fare. You can enjoy it indoors, on the balcony, or from the rooftop seating area while taking in the stunning mountain backdrop.

Our only real complaint was the bed. It was extremely noisy, so if you are someone who moves or turns a lot during the night, you will likely wake up your bed partner every time you move. Also, due to the occasionally unreliable electricity supply in Theth, the air conditioning may not work during power outages.

Breakfast was enjoyable particularly the home made jam. The husband and wife were very kind as our daughter had picked up a bug, so they made her some healing tea and offered breakfast we could take to her in our room. We were able to communicate with google translate. There was plenty of room to hang and dry washing. We would definitely stay here again! Friends stayed at another guesthouse which was a long walk from town/restaurants which they regretted. Views are stunning particularly from the top deck.

Location was good

We booked 2 triple rooms but owner changed one to a double room and still charged for triple. Owner pretends to not understand anything and will keep repeating what he says. Owner claimed there was a power cut so there was no air conditioning or WiFi for the majority of our stay so was very uncomfortable overnight. The power cut didn't affect the neighbouring guest houses. So I believe he is cutting costs.
