Lovely hosts—drove me to start of trail and never complained when it took awhile to find.

Excellent value for a private room with a bathroom shared with only one other room. Excellent location for the nearby ferry to Valentia Island and also for the nearby town of Caherciveen for shops, pubs and bus service. Very friendly hosts. Will be looking forward to staying there again if visiting in the coming year.

The only thing missing from the overall excellent level of accommodation and service was that there were no tea/coffee making facilities due to safety concerns by the host due to a mishap with a previous guest. There was also no breakfast provided which might concern those wanting something to eat first thing in the morning. However the hosts were very happy for me to bring a takeaway meal back the night before and even provided me with a plate and cutlery to eat it. I wasnt too bothered with lack of breakfast as I had a folding bike with me and was able to ride into town in minutes after checking out to get some breakfast from the excellent Lazy Cat Cafe.

Wij waren er tijdens de hittegolf in 2026, en zoals de meeste Ierse verblijven was er ook hier geen airco; het was een beetje warm op onze kamer.

2 beds and a nice scenic view out window. Host arrived the next day and was warm and welcoming.

The substitute host was not warm when we could not find the location due to no signage in front of the house as we had a late arrival. We were sent a picture of house and house number which we could see on the front of the house. Other accommodations we have had in Ireland had signs in front of house so we were expecting to find it more easily. Also walls were thin as our voices carried through the walls which disturbed other guests. A table by each bed would have been helpful. Shower had a very small entrance but owner said he was going to replace for a larger shower.
