Kate's Cottage

This property is absolutely ideal. Location is fantastic along a quiet coastal road where the kids were able to cycle along the coast road to Knightstown. The views from the house and garden are stunning Situated on Valentia Island and just a short 5-10 minute drive to Glanleam beach and light house. 7 minutes back to Port Magee (a boat trip out to the Skelligs is a must) 15 minutes takes you into Cahirciveen town, 20 minutes over to the lovely beach at Finnian’s Bay (kids really enjoyed the bodyboards on the waves) and 30 minutes to the gorgeous Ballinskelligs beach. You could never get tired of the views driving over the Skellig ring. Overall, a fantastic holiday in a fantastic location

Beautiful Island, Fantastic views from Kates cottage. Everything you could possibly need in cottage. Kate is amazing hostess - and would definitely go back to Kate’s Cottage.

Beautiful comfortable cottage by the sea and almost half way on the island making it easy to get the ferry or just as easy to drive back to the mainland via the bridge. Kate is very welcoming and she checked back with us to make sure we were happy and having a great time. The cottage has lots of information and also a list of important contact numbers if needed. A great spot to do a lot of sight seeing as it was local to a lot of attractions. A fully equipped kitchen so eating in and cooking at home is a great option for those who want to self cater.
