Cathedral View makes a lovely base for exploring the Forest of Dean. It's in a charming very quiet village and the apartment is beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. The host was very helpful and easy to contact.

Very comfortable accommodation, beautifully furnished, all mod cons, lovely location.

We loved it here! The building, interior design and outdoor space were all beautifully presented in a classic yet modern way that felt really special. The accommodation was well-equipped with kitchenware and snacks and even had a collection of brochures for the local area. We actually used one of the maps provided to select a local walk at Symonds Yat which ended up being our favourite thing we did! We had incredible weather during our stay so were able to make use of the outdoor table provided that had a perfect view of the local church too. The accommodation is a great choice for people interested in visiting the Forest of Dean for gorgeous walks and cycles and the famous spots like Tintern Abbey, Puzzlewood forest and the Devil's Pulpit. It is also only 1 hour and 10 minutes from the Hay-on-Wye book village.

The only issue we came across was a security light outside that would periodically turn off and on again throughout the night. We would have mentioned it to the hosts during our stay but we kept forgetting by the morning! Maybe this is something they could investigate for future guests.
