The Rookery Cottage - Newland

We had such a lovely stay! I'd definitely come back if we return to the area. Good location. Plenty of room to park. Really comfy bed. A lovely, cosy but surprisingly spacious little cottage. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook there easily. The welcome packs were a lovely touch!

Honestly I can't think of anything we didn't like, it was one of the nicest places we have stayed.

Good, quiet location. Host was friendly with great communication. Lovely little, cosy cottage which is well equipped inc. washer/dryer. Parking onsite. Pub up the road. Outside area at the back with seating.

No bad things to say about the cottage. Just be mindful that no shops in the village.

An absolutely perfect cottage in a gorgeous village. Peace, quiet, fresh air and awesome night sky! Rookery Cottage is extremely cosy and comfortable, all one's needs are anticipated, and it's so well and thoughtfully equipped inside and out that I wanted for nothing. Julie is the perfect host, she is incredibly welcoming, has made the cottage feel better than a home from home and one truly feels a valued guest. Highly recommended! Thank you Julie for a wonderful stay!

I liked the fact the building has a history that puts it at 400-500 years old, inside is modern with everything you need, the location of the property is 10-15 mins away from Simone’s yat and also Cinderford for the forest of dean. It’s also dog friendly and there was a welcome pack for our dog and also a little bed for him. Across a bridge from the property is another garden which is fenced in so the dog could run and feel safe. At night the location was quiet and woke every morning after a very restful sleep. The owner is only next door and was always helpful if we needed it.

Nothing, had a very enjoyable stay
