A nice and quaint hotel which is located in a stunning part of the world. Lovely and friendly staff. Excellent food.

Some of the furniture in the room and around the hotel is looking tired.

Location is great, alongside the Wye and close to Yat Rock.

The level of cleaning was not good - there was the cover to a disposable razor in the middle of the bathroom floor - the room does not appear to have been swept, and so probably not washed. Several cob webs also show that cleaning is not thorough. Generally, the bedroom and bathroom are tatty - paint spots on the bathroom floor, a part painted shelf in the window recess - this is not because it is an old building, it is because there has not been much care taken in doing the decoration which gives the impression that the owners don't feel that they need to make much effort. We booked for an evening meal based on the menu seen on-line which had better vegetarian options that the menu offered on out stay. The options were a Greek salad, a veggie burger and a Thai curry. Unfortunately, the only proper dinner, the curry, was not available, and over £20 for a mediocre veggie burger with a tiny side salad and chips was disappointing for a weekend treat away and in terms of value for money.
