Myself and my 3 girlfriends had a fabulous time here. We brought alcohol, food and a karaoke machine and spent the weekend this way along with a walk to the river.Fantastic house. Fantastic location. Fantastic company. Fantastic weekend. Would stay here again.

The Brambles is a wonderful holiday house situated on the edge of the Forest of Dean. There are loads of activitoes for the entire family in the forest. The house layout is perfect for families with children - the adults have a double room and bathroom on ground floor and the kids slept in the two twin rooms on the top floor with their own bathroom. The hot tub was a perfect way to end the day! Gary and Marianne were wonderful hosts - always responsive and helpful with any issues. Highly recommend!

What a lovely little gem! Perfect position for a stroll into town, a run along the river and park, and to head back knowing the hot tub was waiting was such a treat. Communication throughout the process was outstanding. Thanks so much for a great stay, we used it for our annual mums getaway. Great place.

My family stayed at this property whilst visiting us in the Forest of dean, they had a fabulous stay and the free swimming was an added bonus, the two small dogs where very secure in the garden, and the hot tub was cleaned regularly. We would highly recommend booking this property if you are wanting to explore the forest or Monmouthshire with its many castles.

The location is great to walk into Monmouth town centre. The property is very comfortable with plenty of seating for 8. Kitchen stocked with lots of cooking utensils and plenty of crockery and glasses. The dishwasher was handy too. Hot tub a lovely ‘extra’ which we used. Would definitely stay again if looking to visit Monmouth again. Host made us a delicious cake and left fresh bread, eggs and local butter. She even put milk in the fridge for us ❤️

Very nice cottage set on three levels with plenty of space for the six of us, very good amenities and a cracking hot tub we enjoyed immensely. The location was very close to Monmouth Town centre and there was a Lidl two minutes walk away. Would love to see what it's like in the summer.

Marianne and Gary were excellent hosts, we received all necessary info regarding the property prior to our arrival and easily contacted by phone throughout our stay. The property is very well equipped, it was perfect for our needs and close to the pubs, restaurants, etc in the town centre. The hot tub was a real bonus and the gardens were secure for the dog. We travelled as a family (3 generations) and we are looking forward to a return visit in the future.

Well appointed if slightly quirky (which gave it some charm). We had a relaxed, comfortable stay. The drive was too steep for our car, but we never had a problem with parking on the road outside. Big Lidl store 5 minute walk, short walk into Monmouth which was a delightful little town.

This quirky property layout is perfect for everyone, lovely chill out zone downstairs while you can all be together in the heart of the hub upstairs. Very well equipped and the hot tub is an added bonus. Gary and Mariane are excellent hosts and we had a lovely time there as a family. Would definitely go back. Thank you .

Last minute New Year get away and what a fantastic choice ! The house is just fabulous bedrooms are laid out well double downstairs with a shower and toilet /and living room so the children can go upstairs and have their own rooms and bathroom /on the middle floor with Kitchen and other Tv in the dining room and french doors straight into the hot tub outside which is all private and enclosed . We loved it it was so relaxing . The house is located where you can get to places the Forest of Dean is right behind you up the road and Monmouth is literally across the bridge and under the subway we walked it there and back . Lidl is two minutes walk round the corner so everything is so convenient. There is plenty to do around the area we went to Cardiff for the day . I would highly recommend the house to anyone . The host Gary rang me before we arrived and was very nice and helpful . My husband even fixed the washing machine being a Bosch engineer .and we then had a late checkout which was great .Overall it was a beautiful house Thankyou Brambles ❤️

The owner was really friendly. The property was in an excellent location for activities. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the girls even got to make a cake! There is a Lidl 2 mins drive to buy your food. Hot tub was large and lovely to look up at the starts after a long day hiking. Thank you for letting us stay here.

Layout of the accommodation worked well for us. Hot tub great. Upstairs cold tap difficult to turn off. Shower was blocked but we unblocked it. Kitchen well stocked but needed more plastic drinking glasses. I had to contact the owner to find out how to access the property but he responded to my email quickly.

Such a lovely break and the perfect way to start my school summer holidays The property was clean and really well equipped with everything you need. The kitchen was particularly well stocked and the dishwasher was a fabulous addition. Location is great. A 20 minute stroll into town and it was a stones throw from the river bank. The highlight had to be the hot tub. Clean and hot! We virtually lived in it and the lovely outside space. We were lucky with the weather but the inside space was big enough that it would have been fine to be inside. Living room and garden on mid level so only a few steps up or down to the bedrooms. Only one shower could be an issue with a bigger party but we managed fine. There are two bathrooms. Host Gary was really helpful coming over on Sunday to fix a smoke detector battery. We will definitely be rebooking the next time we want a chilled out break. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Fantastic weekend at Gary's property. Communication was great in the booking and Gary went out of his way to ensure that the 9 of us were looked after including adding extra beds. The property itself is perfect. Plenty of space, well equipped and of course the hot tub! Location is spot on - walkable to Monmouth and a short drive to all the Wye Valley has to offer.
