Amazing location with the forest all around. Walks in every direction.

The location of this property is amazing, literally on the doorstep of the Forest of Dean. The hosts met us to give us the leys and a tour, they are lovely and very friendly. We had several conversations over our stay and their local information is great as we had never visited the area before, the history of the area and the property is also very interesting. The property has everything you could need for a short break and has been carefully thought out. The beds were firm but very comfortable. We enjoyed our break at the pumping station holidays and if we were in the area again would definitely stay here.

The internet did fall out a few times but for such a rural location I wouldn't expect the high speed I get in a city centre at home. A break away from tech is never a bad thing!

We were met at the property by the hosts who were very friendly and helpful and made us welcome. The layout was straight forward, spacious, easy to navigate with a wheelchair. There was a ceiling hoist that went from the profiling bed direct into the shower, which was fantastic. The interior was very pleasing and easy to use, the kitchen fully equipped. There was also a terrace we could use. Very nice and comfortable in a beautiful, quiet setting. We would definitely come again.

Location, peace and quiet. Characterful property.

Only velux windows in the Bat Loft, so light comes in but no opportunity to look out - made it feel claustrophobic. It got very stuffy in the Bat Loft and there was no fan in the room. I was told where I could buy one though!
