They are perfect for family get-togethers and anniversary parties with ideal facilities available. There are excellent bird-watching opportunities nearby and other local attractions include Goodrich and Monmouth Castles. Canoeing and fishing on the River Wye, 10 minutes away, are popular, Glen Cottage (W4023) has a useful utility room with plenty of room to store fishing equipment. There is a butterfly zoo and maze within 2 miles, a swimming pool within 4 miles and Go Ape in the Forest of Dean. The market towns of Ross-on-Wye, 5 miles, and Ledbury, 12 miles away, while the historic cathedral cities of Hereford and Gloucester are 23 miles. The Malvern Hills, Brecon Beacons, Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds are within easy reach, making it an ideal base for those interested in climbing, walking and touring holidays.
