Homely, chill vibes - the perfect place to relax.

Medewi Secret Surf Camp is amazing! We are already trying to decide when to come back! Muklis and the crew make you feel right at home. It’s a great place to hang out and meet fellow travellers too. The rooms are simple, but comfortable. The surf lessons at 450,000rp which is great value for money. The cafes in the area are also so delicious and amazing value for money. In the first night we arrived they hosted a shared dinner - it was 100,000rp each and there was an absolute feast! Such an awesome place! Thanks MSSC for the best few days ever!

It is about a 15-20min walk from the main shops and beach, but if you hire a scooter this is no problem. We were able to rent a scooter from the camp for 70,000rp, so cheap as!

Home far away from home

For me it felt like a home far away from Home! The house and the rooms are very clean, comfy and decorated with love. All the staff was treating me like if I was a part of the family as well, and was helping me with every concern. The surf lessons and analysis was so much fun and so good! Thanks to the whole team, I will definitely come back!

Place to improve your surfing skills!

The owner has amazing surf knowledge and is super friendly as well as all the staff! Place where you can improve your surfing, relax, hangout, skate…really nice and totally recommended! They have good boards to rent which also makes a difference!

Only a few things to add would make it perfect: a mosquito net in the rooms and some better condition skates for the bowl.

this place i a hidden pearl amongst an island that is known for it’s beauty. it does honor to the concept of a homestay, as it feel like a home from home! Muklis and the rest of the guys are very passionate about what they do and it shows. if you have good vibes, this place return those exact vibes! Every surfer will find something for them here and their non surfing companions will soon be tempted to try it and leave possessing some skill after even a single session with the amazing surf coaches.

Had one week off where I wanted to catch as many waves as possible - improve my surfing and meet like minded people and at Medewi Secret Surf camp you are able to get all this with ease. Muklis, Sole, Daffa and the rest of the guys do a great job at creating a very welcoming and fun atmosphere. Do their best to get you the best waves and make the whole experience worthwhile. Easily catching 15-20 waves a session and then creating a very comfortable environment afterwards. If you're looking to relax avoid the crowds, catch great waves and surround yourself with like minded people then could not recomment this place more.

I didn’t know anything about Medewi before I went and wow, this was the best one week of my life. The room was spacious with your own bathroom, Muklis and his family + crew are always filled with good vibes, and the surf coaching and video analysis are the best I’ve experienced. I’m gonna go back for at least a month next time!

I was planning to stay in Medewi for only a couple of days and ended up staying at Medewi Secret Surf camp for almost two weeks. The Homestay gives you “feel at home” vibes, as there is a big living room with a kitchen and a TV to hang out and chill. Muklis and all the staff are so much fun, so available and just amazing! I always felt so welcome during my stay! There is the option to have surf lessons and board rental and both are really good value for money, especially since it’s a real surf coaching more than simple surf lessons. Every day we went to a different surf spot in order to get the best swell and wave condition for each level. I can’t believe how much I have improved in only two weeks! Thanks!

Nothing, everything was perfect. I do think it’s better to be able to drive a scooter though, as the property is a bit “far” from the beach (20-30 mins walk). You can easily rent a scooter for a cheap price at the camp or maybe share the scooter with someone else.

Lovely place and amazing vibe

The vibe is perfect. The surf lessons are amazing, everything taken care off and Murklis makes you feel like you are in your own house. =)

There were some construction building happening and our room was just right beside it, so we would wake up with the first noise. The room was very spacious and confortable but there was a strong smell of mold. I guess the other rooms didn't have the same problem. There is also no hot water but we didn't miss it since we barely stayed inside and were surfing with Murklis crew almost every day

Great value for money

The staff are just great people! They really try to make the best trip for those who stay in the camp. I stayed in Medewi for 3 weeks and I think this is the best to stay for those who visit for the surf. Would definitely recommend!

The only con I could think of is that the rooms could be a bit cleaner.

Everything about our stay was absolutely AMAZING! first of all surf lessons were way above average. The instructors very absolutely amazing, they had great knowledge and were good with both beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers. The lessons normally gets filmed, and during the day you will go through the videos and get feedback from the former professional surfer Mukli! wanna learn to surf, or do you wanna get better please do yourself a favour and book!!! besides that will you be staying with an amazing family. The surroundings are beautiful and will get you into the right surf vibe.
