Old photos. Good for two days no more.

The location is nice and the pool is amazing. Everything is shared no private apart from the bathroom of the upstairs room.

The photos were taken some years ago because everything was a bit dirty and very old. There was not hot water in the shower.

Eddie was a great host. A scooter is necessary to get to the beach but it is a very close ride and is nice too. Everything was clean and there are only a few rooms so it has a good vibe. Highly recommend.

Very quaint and peaceful. Eddy (the villa manager) was very very friendly and helpful. He arranged a last minute drop to Ubud very quickly. Would definitely recommend.

The arrival was a bit chaotic. We were waiting, but no one was here. Finally, we contacted the owner by phone and he arrived. The room was fine, tidy, beds comfortable, bathroom fine too. We didn't try the pool unfortunately. In the morning we arranged for surfing at the nearby beach. We didn't get breakfast included, but the owner offered us a small breakfast on the house at the beach. That was a nice gesture.

Exceptional

We really enjoy our time at Medewi. Eddy and his family were really nice. There just 3 rooms so it's really quiet place. We like the spacious living room and kitchen was also good that we could cook for ourselves. Pool is also nice to swim in. The villa is in a quiet neighbourhood and 2 really nice restaurants close by, I recomend Rasta bar and their dumplings. Eddy himself helped us with everything we needed, he provided a scooter and he even invited us for celebration of EID with his family and his friends. Our daughter became a friend with Eddy's daughter and they played together. Really nice time, thank you

Exceptional accomadation - I will be back there again soon.

The villa is located down a little road surrounded by rice fields. Eddy, his family, and the staff are great. The villa is well maintained - it is very clean and tidy. It is quiet with a short walk or ride to the surf point. Medewi and Sumbul have some great little restaurants. Hire a scooter from Eddy for your stay so that you can easily get around.

the pool was nice and the kitchen was large enough.

There was a power outage (or two) while i was there. the lights went off twice while i was in the shower at two different occasions. because of this, the wifi was not consistent.

Stunning location and view, spacious room and bathroom, very welcoming and friendly staff, lovely common area at ground floor and first floor, comfortable bed, flat screen tv to watch from the bed, clean swimming pool, comfortable for surf equipment, well equipped kitchen, private spacious fridge in the room, good A/C, restaurants 1 minute walking distance, warung everywhere on the small and the main road, only few minutes ride to main surfing spot and beachbreak

The absolute best host that I meet here on bali! After I getting sick with deangefaver I was absolutely helpless… But the host and his family help me instantly with Lokal medicine and the rides to the hospital! It was no question for them to help me with everything. The English skills were perfect to talk about everything and I would come back here at every time I could. Thank you so much

Wonderful place, too short of a stay

Eddy and the staff were super helpful. The villa is only a short work way from the point for surfing but Eddy would drop me down there and let me store my board at his surf shop by the point. The place is really comfortable and right next to the best dinner spot in town.

Amazing stay at Medewi Surf Villa

The villa is quite beautiful and in a good location next to Rasta Café and close to Medewi Beach. The host family is super friendly and helpful. They kept my friend and my bags safe after checkout while we surfed. Price was very reasonable. Good AC, nice bathroom and shower, and awesome common areas.

Loved every second of it

My stay at Medewi Surf Villa was everything I could have asked for. After leaving the hectic streets of Canggu behind I was greeted by Eddy who is living next door and managing the property together with his wife. He is super friendly and always has a smile on his face. Together with him I explored the point break, which is a short scooter ride down the road. Eddy is a great surfer and can tell you everything about the point (where to get in and out, where to catch which waves, etc.) He also has a small surfshop to rent a board, booties or buy some wax. In general it felt like there is nothing he can not organize. The breakfast was really nice and I was lucky to get something else every day (pancake, omlett, fried eggs some fruits and coffee or tea). In case you are still hungry afterwards there is rasta cafe close by and dewi serves great pancakes or every indonesian dish you can think of. The property had a shared living room, as I stayed alone I could use all that space for myself. The rooms and the pool were very clean. Medewi is a lovely place and Eddy and his family made my stay very special, I had to extend my time at their place. I'm sure I will be back soon and already miss the vibe and the people.

Better than expected

It was a lot more than I was expecting! The place is so pretty, super clean, no bugs or any other animals inside, the pool was so clean and pretty. Staff was so nice and helpful, breakfast was tasty and good restaurant reaally close to this hotel, aircondition and wifi were working well. Bathroom with bath was way much prettier than in the pictures (what a view!!)! Well equipped kitchen that you can use. Surf lessons and boards available. If I happen to pop up to Medewi again, will absolutely stay here again!

Superb

Terrace looking out over rice fields is magical x room comfortable x Eddie, Siti (unsure of spelling) and Jasmine are a warm, kind and generous host family. The breakfasts are varied and yum, as is the coffee. I was grateful to Eddie for sorting me out with boards, scooters, local info and his love and commitment to his local community. I love that it’s away from the beach and part of a little village community. As a solo traveller it’s magic to wrapped into a world and Eddie and family certainly did this naturally and I am grateful for it. I will return. Thank you.
