Harris surf Villa is overall great. The property offers only two rooms, while currently one is occupied by a very friendly French kitchen chef, who is gone during the day - you might only meet him in the morning or late at night.
The owners are great, very responsive and eager to help with everything. Harris is a pro surfer, so you can take lessons with him as well. His wife Hety is very kind and responsive. They also own a Warung a few minutes away towards the beach with great food for a very good price.
The common kitchen is well equipped and relatively clean.
The room itself is very spacious, offers comfy beds and the bathroom comes with a bath tub (but the amount of warm water provided can only fill it to around 2/3, still it's nice to soak in it a bit).
It is set in a nice garden.
Overall good value for the money.
The location is just a bit off the very busy main road, in the middle of a local village and quite close to a mosque. So you will definitely hear the calls for prayer, but it's not too loud. Chickens are running around everywhere, which is kind of cute.
The walls could use a repaint (humidity is crawling up and destroying the paint) and overall a bit more love into maintenance and keeping the place clean and nice would help to keep it running for a long time.
Overall, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives, so I had a great stay!

We loved the villas, they were big, clean and had everything we needed. It was lovely to be amongst the Balinese locals in a neighbourhood and interacting with the families. Hety and Harris were amazing - anything we needed they attended to and were so helpful. We went there specifically to surf the point. It was a short scenic ride through the rice paddies each day to get to the surf which we loved. Hety also has a restaurant down in the paddies which we enjoyed too!
Apart from a few mozzies in our room at night, the mosque music was the thing that interrupted our peace. It's doable for 5 minutes, but 30 minutes at 5am is too much each morning.
