Peaceful and joyful journey

We had a wonderful week staying here. It’s only about a 5-minute bike ride to the Medewi Beach surf spot. Just outside the property, there are banks and convenience stores, so everything is very easy and accessible. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming. They also run a restaurant with delicious food at very reasonable prices, and every morning they prepared a nutritious breakfast for us. Whenever we had any questions or needed help, they responded immediately and were always there for us. There are only four rooms in total, which makes the place very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. If I ever have the chance to come back to Medewi, I would definitely stay here again.

Great.

This place is great! The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. On top of that, the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. Kadek, who takes care of the place, is really kind and interesting. He made everything easy for us by letting us rent a bike, call the taxi… Most importantly, the restaurant is truly authentic, and the food there is delicious!

Beautiful property nestled amongst the jungle with a view of the trees from bed. Spacious room, clean and upkept each day, peaceful area, staff very friendly and accomodating, a little beach area down the end of the street. 5 minute scooter to Medewi beach. Thank you!!

One of the best local stays in bali

Great area nice walk to a local beach with everyone saying hello. 10 min walk to Main Street for eating and buying fruit etc. owner very helpful with suggestions and a most generous breakfast. One negative star for me was it had a tv but others would think this is a double plus.

Amazing stay at Pondok Kakiang – spotless new rooms, super friendly host, great food, and just 6 minutes to the surf bea

We had a fantastic 7-night stay at Pondok Kakiang. The accommodation is new, very well maintained, and exceptionally clean. You can really feel the love and care that has gone into every detail – the garden, for example, is beautifully designed and adds so much charm. It’s just a 6-minute scooter ride to the surf beach, which makes it a perfect location for surfers as well. One of the absolute highlights was the host Kadek, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and always available if we needed anything. He even organized a scooter for us – and the next morning it was already waiting at our door! Breakfast was freshly prepared every day, super tasty, and completely flexible in terms of time – we could simply let them know when we wanted it. The attached restaurant was also a great surprise: delicious food (including plenty of vegetarian options) at fair prices, and a warm, attentive team that made us feel truly welcome. They even showed us how to make there Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng. If we ever come back to Bali, we’ll definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Will definitely come back for a get away from the busy south

The place is brand new, very clean and has everything you need. The bed had enough space for my 10 year old, my 5 year old and me. The owner is very friendly. In the front there’s a restaurant with great food choices and nice staff. Breakfast was brought to our room every morning. The (tourist free) beach is in 10 minutes walking distance. This is a part of Bali where still everyone has a smile or a friendly “hello!” When they see you, Locals and foreigners alike.

Amazing stay and we recommend for everyone wants to visit Medewi

Our stay was amazing! The room was new and super clean! The bathroom was clean as well! Everyday they were taking care of our room, we had coffee, tea and breakfast! The owner is super kind and helpful, he helped us also rent a moto and guided us where to rent surfboards! We stayed in many rooms around Bali and Lombok but we can say that this was by far the best experience we had! Also next to the rooms they have a restaurant which is amazing, all the people working there are so kind and the food is top!!! We stayed there 3 nights and we were eating there all the time!

I felt as a king

The place is really full of armony, the garden, the room, the bathroom. Everything is clean and super comfortable.The right light, air condition really new, really good quality of any products. Bed super comfortable. Cadek pay attention for everything you need and ask. The breakfast was served in any moment you want, also if is late. The food was cooked well and with good ingredients.there is also their restoraunt. I would raccomend it 100%. I go away with really positive vibes about the place and the people! Thank you

Clean, comfortable, spacious, great value for money and exceptional staff

I loved absolutely everything about this place, the value for money is incredible, it’s extremely clean and comfortable. The staff are very kind and go out of there way to make sure everything is perfect! The room and bathroom are very big and spacious with a lovely balcony, really good ac and a very comfy bed. I rate this place 11/10! I extended here and wish I would stay longer. I don’t want to leave and I can’t wait to come back.

Super Unterkunft, nette Menschen

Eine tolle Unterkunft für uns zwei. Großer Raum. Großes Bad mit Wanne. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker. Das Frühstück auch-besonders das süße Balinesische 🥰. Dort sind auch zwei ganz liebe Hunde. Einer ist ganz ruhig. Der jüngere noch verspielt. Aber lieb. Katzen sind auch da, aber die verstecken sich eher. An den Wänden sind auch Geckos. Ab und an hüpfen Frösche im Garten rum. Die Leute sind sehr nett.

Es gibt einige Moscheen in der Gegend und morgens um 4.40h wird das erste mal gebetet. Nicht tragisch, aber die Musik über Lautsprecher damit wirklich alle es mitbekommen ist dann doch nervig...

La zona muy tranquila, kadek muy atento en todo momento. Nos facilitó una scooter para movernos por la zona. El desayuno muy bueno. Echaremos de menos a Jacky, su perro que nos recibía todas las mañanas en la puerta de la habitación. Volveríamos sin dudarlo

Nos encantó este alojamiento. Todo súper limpio, la habitación moderna amplia y cómoda. El trato con el personal fue de 10 y además la comida del restaurante riquísima. Uno de los mejores alojamientos en Bali. Volveremos seguro.

Magnifique séjour dans la verdure de Medewi

Nous avons trouvé cet endroit par hasard et nous sommes tombé sous le charme! C’est calme, propre et proche de la plage. Kadek et sa femme sont adorables. Nous avons mangé tous les soirs au restaurant, qui est délicieux et pas cher. L’équipe du restaurant est adorable également. Kadek nous a aidé pour louer un scooter et pour trouver un taxi pour le départ. Les chambres sont belles et spacieuses. La salle de bain magnifique. Le petit déjeuner est bon et copieux.

Une équipe vraiment adorable🥰 Les chambres sont situées un peu plus loin du restaurant, donc pas de bruit. Un grand choix de repas et très bons. La chambre impeccable et bonne literie. L’hôtel est situé à 5mn à pied de la mer.
