My wife and I stayed for two nights and had an excellent experience. The place is very clean, well organized, and perfectly located — just a few minutes from the train station to Cinque Terre and close to many restaurants and cafés. On top of that, we had an exceptional welcome from Elisa and Simone, who are truly warm hosts and made us feel at home during our stay.

The property was impeccably maintained and cared for by Elisa and Simone and both greeted us personally with choclates, and cappuccino upon arrival. You could not ask for better hosts than Elisa and Simone. They are so welcoming and accommodating. Always availability to help. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of room for our family. Close walk to restaurants and train. Would definitely stay here again.

Elisa & Simone are the best. They were SO kind to us as we arrived. The room was ready early, so we were able to leave our luggage in the room as we enjoyed our first day. They shared amazing restaurant recommendations and places to see in the Cinc Terre region and Porto Venere. We were so grateful for how kind and welcoming they were. We loved our stay. The property is near the train station. My son loves the secret entrance door and the elevator. It’s unique experience. The room has a lot of space and the bed is so comfy. The most impressive part is the warm welcome.

We loved our stay. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The room was immaculate, quiet and well located. We were able to park in a local garage. Had a great time shopping, eating and hanging around! We would 100% recommend staying here! Also endorsing Taverna de Metalo for dinner and the Hop Hop 2.5 hour Gulf Tour.

Absolutely! Here’s a polished review for you: ⸻ We had a fantastic stay at Affittacamere Golfo 5 Terre! The location is incredibly convenient, just a three-minute walk from the train station, which made our trip from Florence and our visits to the Cinque Terre villages super easy. Even though it’s right in the center of La Spezia, once you close the window panels, the room is surprisingly quiet. Light sleepers might still want earplugs, but overall, it was very comfortable. The hosts were absolutely amazing and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, always ready to help with any information or assistance we needed. There are fantastic dining options nearby, including a lovely breakfast spot right next door. The B&B is on the third floor, but there’s a small elevator if you prefer not to take the stairs. Plus, a stroll through the city center leads you to a beautiful boardwalk with lots of shops and restaurants, and easy access to the marina for ferries and tours. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! A big thank you Elisa & Simone for everything! Grazie Mille!

Our train was canceled in the early morning, so this was a quick last minute booking. The lady met us at the door and greeted us which meant a lot. She graciously let us check in early and drop our bags and gave the best recommendations for La Spezia. Upon arrival back in the afternoon, she had our bags in the room, and was super clean. The room was beautiful! **Bring earplugs though. The doors are thin and not soundproof. Also if you stay on a weekend night expect fireworks right outside.

It was a pleasure to stay in Elise and Simone’s guesthouse. They went out of their way to make us welcome, helping with bookings, directions. The palazzo is grand and extremely convenient for station. We were travelling by train. Incidentally, the carrefour nearby has a great gluten free selection.

The Superior Golfo 5 is a special place. It is at the beginning of the main walkway through the main La Spezia restaurant and shopping walkway all the way down to the water around the marina. The building itself is nice, with a classic but well kept look and architecture starting from the giant door with the mini door inside of it, followed by the marble stairs up to the third floor where Simone and Elise are usually at the reception desk with big smiles and ready to answer any questions, give great recommendations, or just chat. The lobby, hallway, and rooms are a mix of modern and ancient architecture. The bathrooms look brand new, while the bedroom has rock walls and very high wooden beam ceilings. The highlight is the large window that opens to an expansive view of the streets and hills. The room is fitted with all the necessary amenities, plus some extras like more pillows and blankets, teas, chocolates, and a welcome bottle of wine. When you run out there is a market across the street with great prices. Want espresso or snacks? There are machines in the lobby for that. In a hurry? Then you are in the wrong place. We decided on La Spezia as a hub to visit the 5 villages but found so much to do in La Spezia that we never left. At Elise and Simon's recommendation we even took the ferry to Porto Venere. It was a magical experience for $15 each to see the bay, and walk all over the castle ruins built high into the rocky cliffs with the epic views of the ocean.

This was an amazing place to stay close to the train station and at the end of a street full of food and shopping options. The service was amazing and they are so attentive to any needs. They treated us like true friends and really care about our time there. It is a smaller and almost an at home type feel that really gave us a sort of living in La Spezia feeling whenever we were there. Whenever I come back I will be sure to contact Elisa and Simone to see if they have a room for us.
