Every single member of staff that we met was so friendly and pleasant! From the moment we arrived we were made feel so welcome. The room was spotless and very nice. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the make your own waffles went down a treat with my boys. The waiting staff at breakfast surprised us all with a birthday treat for my son, it was very kind and made our stay memorable. The male housekeeper on our floor asked if we enjoyed our stay and wished us a nice day which was lovely. Thank you so much team Hampton, we can't wait to visit again.

The hotel was in a great location, the rooms were quiet, the free breakfast was a nice touch but did feel rushed and busy on the Sunday morning, we were allocated a time slot (which was more than enough time to eat and have a coffee) - some items did run out and took a while to be refilled (Coffee, cutlery). The room was clean - they had signs instructing you to reuse your towels for the environment, by hanging them up, but changed them anyway, which I feel the staff could be re-trained on, as I imagine if they do that hotel-wide it's having a huge negative impact on their environmental goals. I found the bed uncomfortable, and not a problem I usually have in hotels. The mattress was very hard and the pillows very soft, so I struggled to sleep.

My second time staying at this hotel with the family. We had 2 rooms and overall this was a good stay but short of excellent. Once again the breakfast was a major positive. The hotel is warm and comfortable and very good value for money. A few niggles this time - the greeting / welcome we received at check-in left a bit to be desired but overall staff were courteous and helpful. Also we did have an issue with the heating in our room which on a cold night wasn’t ideal.

The front desk staff member who checked me and my partner in was very miserable. Not welcoming at all. No smile. No conversation. Was not impressed. Felt very uncomfortable. He was not helpful at all. Found him very rude and dismissive. Was not a great start to our stay.

Excellent location, room was spotless, staff were so friendly, good breakfast included, safe parking next door at a reduced rate, nice lobby/reception area to chill and have a drink. Note the family room was small but we expected that - it’s perfect for 1 (we were 2 adults, 2 children 8 &11)

Room was great. Lovely big bed. Only issue was the noise of the lifts as we were in the room directly behind. As we were only there for one night, we didn’t bother asking to move but definitely would’ve if staying longer. Breakfast was good. Really good choice. Location ideal too.

I stayed 4 nights. The staff was very good. They let me store food in the hotel frig and even heated up my left over food. The gym was good, even had foam roller and bosu balance equipment. Room was clean. Great location, 10 minutes to city hall, 8 minutes to main station. Will stay again
