The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was great and very clean. The views were lovely and the pool looked great although the weather was not conducive to swimming. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. I especially liked the pastries on the buffet and the cooked breakfast was delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Kaisely the Receptionist was very attentive and very helpful and friendly this morning. She took all of my complaints onboard and apologised sincerely for the lukewarm water during my stay. I know sausages and the sausages I was served yesterday were of such poor quality with a texture thats no meat. And there was this incident of someone trying to get into my room without my permission after I responded and said "a moment" Overall though, my experience was good but it could have been better considering it's a 4 Star hotel

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. Originally we planned only 2 nights, but decided to extend, because we liked it so much, so we had a chance to try more than one rooms. The location is beautiful, the rooms looked great, the beds were comfy and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Disappointed with a few key details during my stay. The pool was advertised as open until 8pm, but was actually closed by 6pm frustrating for those planning to use the facility in the evening. The check-in greeting felt impersonal and lacked warmth. Additionally, the room wasn’t up to expected cleanliness standards, with a stained chair and noticeable food crumbs under it.

Breakfast was below average in my opinion. Good but not good enough for 4-star hotel charging those prices. Also surrounding is too quiet with not much to do. I would recommend staying in St Ives instead. Much more vibrant.

stair carpets and carpet in room very dirty, table in dining room dirty oily sticky . one layed with crumbs still on windows so dirty at sides could see out, uneaxpectedlu had to pay for parking. room 3 despite being about 16 with a cool change outside was very very hot we kept fan on and still couldnt have any bedding - wont stay again

I stayed in a small single room. It needed more airflow, but a fan was provided, making the room very comfortable. I enjoyed tea on the patio in the afternoon. The best part of my stay was breakfast... delicious!!

Nice spacious, airy and tastefully decorated room with all the necessary accessories and features. The service was excellent and friendly. The setting, with a beautiful view of Penzance and the harbour from the breakfast room, was particularly good. The swimming pool set in lovely semi-tropical gardens was a real joy to be in. My only gripes were: the shower, although providing ample hot water at more than adequate pressure, was nevertheless not easy to control the temperature of; the room TV - a large good quality Samsung - was not connected to an aerial so not terrestrial channels, and Prime Video did not allow logins to ones personal account. I am planning on staying there again 😊

Grocery store within walking distance. Snacks in the room nice touch. I would definitely stay again. So quiet too. No elevator so be aware of that.

We liked the friendliness of the breakfast staff, and the location of the hotel. Our sea view was very good. However, there was mould on the sky vent in our bathroom (room 19) and the guttering outside our window was overgrown with grass. On the 2nd night of our visit we were kept awake for 2 hours by loud banging from plumbing next door to our room. We called the night porter twice using 0 and the mobile number suggested in an emergency and just got an answer phone message. My partner tried to run taps etc and mentioned to the night porter where he thought the problem was. No mention or apology was made about the noise at breakfast.

Breakfast was included and included a good range of choices, including fresh fruit. The view from the breakfast room was stunning and all of the staff were lovely. Parking was limited and a bit tight but it actually seemed to pay to be the last one in and, to be fair, they were clear about that in their advert.

The Hotel Penzance is absolutely lovely in every respect. Our room had a view of the water and beautiful decor. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. We only wish we'd had more time and warmer weather so we could have taken advantage of the lovely pool. Fabulous stay and fantastic staff!

Shampoo shower gel provided.SADLY no conditioner. Also no hairdryer. I rang reception 5 times with no luck. Breakfast was ok. But bacon wasnt edible. Staff all standing behind the bar was slightly off putting while eating breakfast. Even chef at times..Pool was excellent. Receptionist that afternoon was lovely. Overall a pleasant stay but not worth the 269 i paid for the one night. And then had to pay 8 pds to park there.

My husband and I would only have a chance to tour the area around Penzance for three days. His family had left the tin mines of St. Just in the 1860's for America. We had a lot packed into a short time. The Penzance Hotel staff made us feel at home offering fabulous comfort, food and hospitality in the great tradition of Cornwall. Yeghes da (cheers)!
