Perfect!

We arrived at 8.30am on the overnight train and the staff were great. They held on to our luggage for us and said we should return around 1.30pm (rather than 3pm) when our room would be ready. The room was absolutely lovely and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice as was dinner, I highly recommend the Cornish mussels in Cornish cider. We had the most relaxing weekend.

The real Art on the walls, nicely appointed bed rooms, trendy vibe… good selection of local beers and gins.

Our room looked out onto a wall 3 feet away/ we could have been warned… or offered a different room perhaps. Staff seemed a little under duress.. The food was nt that great.

A very comfortable place to stay in Penzance.

I had stayed before, and this stay was as comfortable as the last. The staff were very helpful. I had asked for a non pet friendly room and it was all arranged before I arrived. The location in the centre of town means that both town and the ocean are within walking distance.

I guess the smallest annoyance is that the property has no parking, but I was lucky to find street parking just yards away, and am aware that there are town car parks close by, so really a very minor problem.

A stylish hotel in a very convenient location.

The hotel is vey stylishly decorated. The breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with large portions! The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great and is perfect for taking the ferry to the Isles of Scilly, as it's only a short stroll away.

We stayed for two separate nights. On the first night the room was charming but quite small. On the second night we were fortunate to be given an upgrade to a fabulous large room with an amazing copper bath, as well as a shower.

Loved this property!

The staff was fantastic - my husband was sick so they were able to find an additional room for me, continually checked in about how he was feeling, and delivered food to his room. The location is fantastic - couldn't be a better place to stay - close to the water, close to town with shops and restaurants, close to public transportation. The rooms were clean and each had a distinct personality.

Breakfasts were expensive (just under £20 for full Cornish and coffee) especially when there were no cereals etc. to eat while waiting for hot food.

Really cute artistic space. Clean. Friendly staff.

Only issue is bottom flow has no air con so in the summer gets a little warm in the room, but fan was provided. I did not notify the staff of this, which they likely would have provided a remedy.

We loved the ambiance at the place, our room was lovely and very clean. The location was very good. Our room was small as we booked the Small Double Room, just a heads up if that's a problem to you. The breakfast was also great even though it was not included.

During our check-in and check-out, nobody was present so we had to wait for someone to come.

Great stay and great food

Staff were lovely. Food was great. Bed was comfy, we were in their small ground floor room, but for one night, it suited us well. I did not feel rushed at breakfast or dinner. Its close to the Scillonian ferry, enabling us to walk in a town where taxis are hard to get. Room was warm, quirky and cosy, with 2 windows and a window in the bathroom. Pub opposite looked interesting (the Admiral Benbow) but was closed for our visit, but there is a separate bar snd outside area at this hotel

Shower only had the large rainfall head so if you don’t plan on washing your hair, you end up doing it anyway.

Beautiful place.

Beautiful decor and building close to the harbour where we really needed to be. Bed and pillows were comfy. Coffee machine was just what I needed in the morning. Shower was lovely. Great pub on other side of road, Turks head.

Room 16, lovely although a blackout blind would have been an advantage to get the lay in we needed. Room 17, lovely room but the nose from the road was terrible and spoilt what could have been perfect. Overall was a lovely place but the price was too high especially for not having breakfast included or potentially a dinner included instead?! Just a thought.

Lovely

Room is a bit smaller than expected. but have separated shower and bath tub. Pillows too soft. Tea/ bottle water/ coffee refill everyday. Even umbrella was provided inside the room. Plenty of cleaning amenities. Even bubble bath. All others are up to expectation except the fan.

The fan provided was full of dust inside so when turn on dust were blew all over the bed and the floor. We have to clean the fan ourself with the tooth brush provided ..hahaha.

Fabulous character hotel

Fabulous boutique hotel full of character. Lovely cocktail bar with excellent cocktails, charming staff, comfortable bed. Particularly liked the supply of chargers and adapters for devices.

Good location close to the water on a quaint street with shops and pubs. Parking wasn’t an issue.

I didn’t get value for ~180GBP per night. Stayed two nights; was a double occupancy room but super crampt even for a single person. Aircon was fully defunct. What was most disappointing was that they didn’t do up my room on day 2 despite explicitly leaving instructions, and were offering out bar drinks / fudge as compensation for the slip up ?

The suite we had was stunning. Bed was super comfy. location excellent.

Dinner was disappointing. Over ambitious menu that was executed poorly. We were seated by a radiator blasting us with heat which was uncomfortable. The table was wobbly. On arrival, despite having paid for the stay in full in advance, I was asked for my card to "verify my booking". After waiting for ten minutes for this to happen, the person on reception gave up and showed me to the room. After dinner, I was chased up the stairs while opening the door to my room, and the waiter was demanding payment for dinner on the spot. This really was not a great ending to a very average evening.
