Place is beautiful, no doubt but honestly, reaching there is very expensive and you should only go if you are planning to stay there for more days.

A little piece of paradise that I’ll always remember. Koh Yao Yai Village was everything I needed—peaceful, beautiful, and surrounded by nature. The staff were incredibly warm and genuine, making the stay feel even more special. Thank you for the beautiful memories, the quiet mornings, and the sunsets that made me slow down and appreciate the moment. I left feeling rested, grateful, and already wishing I could come back. Definitely one of those places that stays in your heart. 🤍

Gorgeous hotel on this sleepy little island. The views from the pool are spectacular. Food was all great, service usually excellent. Nice spa treatment and all at a very reasonable price.

We booked the Jungle View Villa and were disappointed. The property is on a rubber plantation and the sound of the cicadas is incredibly pervasive. Rather than the normal hum, it’s like a constant alarm ringing. The staff was friendly, but were not as outwardly helpful and welcoming as other stays we had on this trip. The room was the worst part. The villas are very spacious and fairly well appointed. However, there was a very strong smell of mould, as if the suite had been flooded and not properly aired out. It did not improve in the 3 days we stayed. The shower wall was covered in mould and the toilet room reeked. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The towels smelled clean, but had clearly been in use for several years. There was daily housekeeping, but it was pretty clear they did not mop or clean any surfaces. The rest of the facilities were lovely- the pool space was exceptional and the restaurants were attractive. The breakfast buffet was not very well stocked and coffee was served via large self-serve machines which was disappointing. The location is very remote, which can be nice if that’s what you’re seeking, but there were no activities within walking distance. My guess is that most of the positive reviews are from people who booked the beach villas as they are spared the cicada cacophony and possibly these villas are newer and less gross!
