HEADS UP - YOU CANNOT BOOK PAY AT THE PROPERTY....EVEN IF YOU DO. she will charge your card BEFORE YOUR STAY, tell you hotels.com charged it (which they don't and never have) and is rude. Layers of dust around the edges of the carpet and they have the merve to leave an envelope on the TV stand for you to TIP the maintenance staff....stop it. Motel 6 next door is better!

The room and bathroom were clean and the housekeeper was very helpful and friendly. However, I requested a room downstairs, due to a recent injury, and I was told in an email that I would be given a room on the first floor since the hotel doesn’t have an elevator. We checked in around 8pm and all they had for us was a room upstairs. Not happy. The room description included a patio or “balcony”, but the balcony was so tiny you couldn’t even fit one chair on it. We were given a room with a vinyl futon “bed”, but they didn’t provide any bedding for it. When we asked at the front desk, we were told they didn’t have any extra sheets! What kind of a hotel doesn’t have sheets??!! Instead they gave us one very thin, stained blanket, which obviously no one wanted to use. The beds had worn out mattress toppers that were higher in the middle and sagging on the sides, so we were constantly trying to keep ourselves from rolling off the bed. The bathroom light fixture was loose and hanging from the ceiling. And twice we had to go down the stairs to the front desk to reprogram our keys because they wouldn’t open the door. The walls were thin enough to hear the conversation next door, which went on late into the night, so nobody slept well. We will never stay at this hotel again.

Booked the king suite and got checked in smooth but once we got into the room it had cockroaches all over and smelled like cockroaches, they didnt have another suite available so they put me in a smaller room and denied a refund even just for the difference in room cost when i paid extra for the king suite.. ive stayed at this hotel throughout the years but my first time getting a suite and i WONT be going back due to the service and cleanliness

The room was clean, but needed attention. Fan in the bathroom was missing, faucet in shower was loose, shower walls had glue on them, maybe from a soap container. Everyone was friendly, but no real amenities. It is close to the Hiway 1.

Room didn't smell clean. Doors were dirty around the door knobs, shower curtain smelled like urine, overall the room didn't seem clean. We've been staying at Morro Shores for years and this is the first bad experience. We will definitely stay again, but just hope we don't get room 111 again.

When I went to reception to ask to be moved,I was told to open the door or use air freshener. I did go and buy some but honestly it made no difference and I couldn't wait to leave

Dog friendly should be taken out of the listing cause it was one of the most infuriating places I’ve ever stayed when it came to checking in. And out. I got a lecture about what my dog shouldn’t be doing in the room with terrible attitude and then as soon as we came out with our bags they rushed to inspect the room and we weren’t even full done checking out. We stayed at 5 hotels during our family road trip and no one treated us like that.

The positives were it was a decent price and you can walk to the beach. Unfortunately we will not be returning! We reserved three rooms. Two beds were so worn down that there was a bump in the middle to where you literally slept uneven. All three refrigerators didn’t work. One did not get the food cold and the other two froze all of our food. All the knobs were broken so you couldn’t turn up or turn down. Two of the four lamps were broken and didn’t work. One out of the two fireplaces did not work and one out of three remote controls for the TV didn’t work. Furniture was chipped and scratched everywhere and paint was literally peeling off the walls. It was doable for the two nights we stayed but was definitely a disappointment.

Everything was good except for the tv channels, it’s nothing but the most cheapest cable you can get, Spanish channels and your basic channels. Didn’t bother turning the tv on for the rest of our trip. I also didn’t like the fact that they froze my bank card by constantly trying to charge it

The name is misleading. This is no better than a Motel 6. The property is in a touristy area, so heavily used, and that use is obvious. I walked into the lobby to check in just after 3, and the smell was overpowering. There was nobody at the reception desk so I waited about a minute. Someone finally came over, but he seemed annoyed about it. I don’t think I would stay here again
