A charming little city like many others high on a hill. On our itinerary due to its reputation. Not disappointing but maybe a little overrated.

The hotel is in the plaza de la Cisterna, very large room and bathroom, the views to the country side from our room was fantastic. Everything is so close cafes, restaurants, shops. Points of interest. The staff is really nice and polite. Breakfast was good. Totally recommend the hotel.

Very beautiful spot in the heart of San Gimignano. Room was clean with all comforts. Staff has been very friendly and accommodating. To get here was a challenge and a bit difficult (use Google maps - Waze wouldn’t get us here) but it’s a lovely place to stay.

Wonderful!! Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Great location. Made San Gimignano a very special experience. Near excellent restaurants and all the major sites. Exceptional buffet breakfast served either indoors or on a huge outdoor terrace. Highly recommended.

Great location and excellent communication about where to park, breakfast was delicious, the rooms are very quiet and the terrace was a nice treat but the beds are so firm that we struggled to sleep, additionally the pillows are not great and very little in the way of blankets, a sheet and a very thin, rough bed cover. While the hotel is great, the lack of comfort would prevent us from returning

Beautiful hotel right in the main square. Conveniently located so you are able to walk anywhere. Parking is outside the walled city but easy to get too. We had a valley view hotel and I highly recommend. Breakfast was on a beautiful indoor outdoor terrace.

Great location, right in the central piazza. Do Not attempt to drive to drop off luggage - park in one of the car parks just outside the city walls. We arrived on a Saturday in the middle of a wine festival so it was noisy (even with ear plugs) as we were in a first floor room overlooking the piazza. We asked to be moved for the second night and had a lovely, quiet room at the back. The whole staff, in particular Lisa were fabulous- highly recommend!

We stayed one night while walking the Via Francigena trail. The hotel is located in a perfect spot right in the middle of the main square in beautiful San Gimignano. You are near all.the restaurants, shops and attractions bu it was still very quiet at night. The staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast was great offering lots of variety. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location. Right in the main square of beautiful San Gimignano. Walk right out your door to all the action. We were there during a big festival and couldn’t hear anything from our room that had a valley view. Breakfast was also excellent. Bringing your car into the city to drop off your luggage is challenging for people not used to driving in ancient walled cities! Stop at the red lights in the city even if you don’t see a reason to. After dropping off your luggage you will need to park just outside the city walls. We had a good time having drinks in the square at the bar next to the hotel entrance.

This property is an elegant gem. The expansive terraces on the top two floors provide ample seating and lovely views over the rooftops to the sea. The 97 year old proprietor gave us a tour of his private rooms, the family is one of the original Gallipoli nobility. Walking distance to the sea, and right in the heart of the historical centre.

The city is beautiful, but the hotel would not get this high rating being located anywhere else. I am normally focusing on the positive, but I think it is better for guest to know what to expect, rather than being disappointed. Positive: perfect location in the middle of the beautiful small town San Gimingnano Else: Uncomfortable bed, flat and hard pillows. Absolutely nothing extra/ more than necessary, like an extra pillow, a bag of tea etc. The breakfast is low in quality, worst so far on our Italy-trip. In total it didn’t feel like they are trying to create comfortable stays, or a place guest should want to return to. Felt as they had given up somehow. You will “survive” one night, and a ok option in San Gimingmano (as it is a very small place), but this is not a hotel to relax and enjoy a weekend or so. I can see that some reviews complains about the parking: the city is on UNESCOS world heritage list. This is a city everyone needs to park outside the city walls when visiting. That is not the hotels fault.
