While, overall, the hotel was very nice, I would recommend not takimg a room on the first floor. This floor is where the kitchen and breakfast room are. The staff start work at 6.00 and it is very loud. There is excellent sound proofing to the street but not to the sounds of the kitchen and breakfast room. Additional, since the room was close to the kitchen there was an ever present smell of cooked bacon. I would stay again but not on the first floor. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful with dinner reservations and calling a taxi.

The breakfast was so tasty, all staff were helpful. I had a last minute guest, they helped me moved to a different room with an extra bed to accommodate us. We were right in the middle of everything, also 15min walk from train station.

This hotel was clean and had everything we needed. The staff was very kind and helpful. This hotel is in a perfect, walkable location. The only thing that dampened our stay just a bit was being put into the room right next to the dining room where breakfast is held from 7-10. We heard everything, from dishes rattling, doors slamming, and patrons talking/yelling. We woke up quite a few times before we would’ve liked to. I would recommend being asked to move to a different room if they place you on the first floor. That being said, the breakfast was very delicious. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for a perfect stay in Florence.

This is a really nice hotel, however it really stunk really badly like sewage. We visited in July and it was very hot. Apparently a lot of Florence smells when it’s hot but our room smelled like sewage which made us all feel sick. The staff put a scented diffuser in our room, but we actually went to bug Vicks Vapor Rub to wipe under our noses so it would help to counter the smell. Otherwise, a good breakfast and kind staff. Sadly, the smell was repugnant! I would stay further out of Florence’s center to avoid the smell.

Extremely well located. Between Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Signoria. Santa Maria Novella Train Station is a fifteen minute walk away. Many dining and shopping options. Short walk to the Uffizi Galleries and the Ponte Vecchio. Very nice decor.
