I wouldn't know due to the stipulations of a security deposit being needed and I didn't have because this was a gift card from community organization reserving the room for me due to being homeless. I was told by the CSR they couldn't allow me to use the room without a SD. So I lost out on my gift card and a night's rest/shower, etc.

I had driven through severe thunderstorms and tornadoes - I was exhausted, and it was late, and my body ached from tension. I just needed someplace to sleep for a bit. This is a Wyndham, and I have always felt safe with them if I need a budget-friendly option. This ended up being none of that. The room was disgusting. I have photos and a video. It was filthy, paint peeling off the wall, the sink was filled with food backed up from the dishwasher, and the bathroom area was filthy. I was so afraid of bedbugs that I did not sleep under the blanket or sheets, did not change out of my clothes, and would not bring my overnight bag in. I barely slept for 4.5 hours and left before dawn. I am a senior, traveling alone with 2 small dogs. I drive cross-country all the time and have never felt this unsafe or completely disgusted that they would put anyone in a room like this, much less a senior. Shame on Wyndham for having their name on this dive.

The owners were great, polite and helpful and cheery. It appears they just took over ownership. I think with the right funds they could make the place great again.

Cleanliness was not good, walked into the room with crumbs on the floor and crumbs in the fold out couch. Cobb webs and dead flies in the closet. A lot of damage in the kitchen and bathroom. Mice droppings in the cabinets.

The hotel was okay. The deposit on Expedia was showing for 100 dollar. Once I arrived The staff stated since it the hotel I picked was upstairs downstair the deposit was 200 dollars. Instead them allowing me to go added it to my bank card so they can hold until I complete my stay. They decided charged me the 200 via cash which I was already skeptical on. The main problem was once I was leaving to check out, I made sure everything was cleaned up property. The staff would not want to return the 200 cash deposit due to the wash rag and the sheet from the bed having little icing on it. It never my attention for icing to be on the sheet but it happens sometime but on wash rag you would clean up with it beyond crazy. Charging 200 for both items you need to clean after someone use is a bit much. The staff was very rude when I called the 200 deposit and wouldn’t allow me to speak to the manager. I’m beyond upset and I hope someone contact me about this. I’m truly disappointed in this hotel. I wish business, manager and staff do better on hospitality and customer skills.

Arrived and checked in but could t inspect room at that time. Returned at night and got into room- disgusting. Smell, hair, dirt, lock on slider door did not work, stains on mattress concerning for bugs. Went to front desk to request refund and leave. Front desk couldn’t do anything- called to manager on phone and she was rude and told me to leave property or she was calling the police because I was being rude. Refused refund. Hotels.com no help in refund because I paid on site. Have complaint in with corporate Wyndham. Believe the recent reviews- do not book here if you don’t want to feel unsafe, disgusting, and/or value customer service. This is a privately owned place just using the Wyndham name.

This place needs some major renovations and better lighting outside. The room was dirty and the environment seemed very sketchy. I ended up leaving and requesting my money back. They did honor that and refunded me my money as soon as I took pictures and showed them the condition of the room.

It seems like they were apartments that are now hotel rooms. Things were just dingy, the "fold out" couch was a bigger version of those cartoon toddler foam couches. It was dark and there were no light switches for many of the lights, like in the kitchen and the bathroom. One towel and 2 hand towels in the main bath. No washcloths etc. The bed was comfortable and we made it work for one night

I liked the fact that it was a suite. The bed was comfortable and clean. Beyond that there was a fruit fly infestation, large pieces of glass missing from an internal window pane, you could see through the bottom corner of the exterior door, the interior molding and trim was falling off and covered in peeling paint, and the place smelled so bad my husband preferred taking a rest in our vehicle. The bathroom fan didn't work. It made a horrible noise when the motor tried to start. The shower/bathtub didn't drain properly, and the floor of the tub was sunken so bad you felt like you standing on uneven ground. One of the bedside lamp shades was broken. The outlets in the kitchen were covered in an unknown substance. We spent one night and checked out early.

Older property with a maze of various buildings, hidden walkways, and outdoor stairs to the rooms. Only 2nd floor units were available and the wooden stairs where difficult at night with baggage. There was a large bag of garbage outside at the base of my stairs for the first 2 days. Room was no smoking but had a stale smoke smell. Good linens and towels and a comfortable bed. Shower worked well. Great variety of nearby restaurants and shopping. When I left a plastic cup had been placed behind one of my tires but I removed it before backing out. If I return to Dayton I probably won’t return to this hotel although it sufficed

Check in and out staff was friendly. The set up was a motel set up not hotel. The room was in an apartment like complex. The complexes were not well kept. The property was very "shady" and dirty. Once in the room it was worse! Dust on walls, ceiling, and curtains. No towels in the place. Hair in the shower drain! Stains in the sheets, everything was just dirty. It was in need of a deep clean. We got in very late and left about 8am. We weren't there long but I let the check out staff know about the lack of cleanliness of the room. Highly disappointed. Will never stay again

1st floor rooms would be ideal for those with limited mobility or needing wheelchair friendly bathroom. Reviews seem broken. Stayed April 9 and it was great. Worth it at twice the price and the breakfast was good. With good variety. Grounds were really nice and taken care of Gave 3/5 on staff as they didn't seem to understand the need for bedding on the flip out sofa

The staff was friendly and competent. The breakfast was plentiful. The facility is old and neeeds updates. The bathroom was clean. The headboard, lightswitches, and microwave were dirty. I had a pleasant stay for a low price.

The hotel is very run down. The couches have stains. The sheets on the beds had stains. The carpet is dirty. The lighting didn’t work. The fan had no blades. They didn’t have extra bedding or towels. The lock on the door didn’t work. The front desk staff was rude.

A cozy apartment complex turned hotel. It had a full kitchen with appliances, plates, pots, pans, and cutlery. Some visible wear and tear, but not detrimental. No hair dryer in our room.

The room pricing was the only saving grace of this disgusting and poorly maintained hotel. No decaffeinated coffee and nohot water in the shower. Flooring was badly scuffed, and the paint on the walls was peeling in many places. The room thermostat was ineffective and kept going off dropping the temperature below the level of comfort. The front desk person couldn't find our reservation, even after I explained I had made it through Trivago. The door is rotted at both edges of the bottom and dirty, as well. This property needs to be re-evaluated and the Hawthorn Suites name replaced with the word, "DUMP!"

We checked in that was fine, we were told where the room was at, and that began our first complaint, as it had snowed and we had to travel up two flights of stairs covered in snow with our luggage it was very slippery. The room was fine entering cold so we turned up the heat and it never warmed all night so we called and they sent someone who we thought fixed the heating issue, we stayed cold that whole day and night, it wasn’t fixed. The couch is old and musty very uncomfortable to set on traffic is so noisy it’s hard to rest I get it we are by a highway some new upgrades would help that greatly, some variety in cookware would be nice we had a burnt coffee pot only big pans to cook with. We thought it would be more like home away from home someone from front desk said they’d speak with management not sure if I’m going to be contacted about any of this but paying a $100.00 deposit for a two day stay in a cold room should have some sort of justification

The bed in the upstairs loft had the worst mattress I’ve ever tried to sleep on. When I sat on the edge of the bed the mattress crushed down nearly a foot. Lying in bed my wife and I rolled towards the outside. We could barely get any sleep trying to keep from rolling off. When my wife got out of bed I fell out of bed when the mattress shifted. Also several couch cushions were ripped; many lights burnt out; toilet made loud gurgling noise during refill of tank; it looked like blood stains on carpet upstairs. The breakfast food was not very appetizing. No ice machine. We will not be returning to this hotel again.

The gentleman who greeted me at the reception was very kind, I asked him if I could see the room, he showed me the room, when I entered the smell of humidity was incredible, it was a very strong smell, the sheets on the bed looked very old, I asked the gentleman to cancel my reservation because I was not going to stay in a room in that state since it could affect my lungs and health due to the strong smell of humidity, the manager was very kind and informed me that he was not going to make any charge or payment, he cancelled my reservation and went to look for another place to stay that was in a better state of cleanliness and hygiene.

We walked into the room and the stench was overwhelming. We immediately left. The pictures of this facility were misleading. The clerk told us they've renovated twenty of their rooms but the two we got were certainly not included in the twenty. Wyndham should be ashamed to put their name on this place. We requested refunds and left to find other accommodations which took us until two in the morning. We wouldn't recommend evem housing your pets in this place.
