Very poor breakfast first of all. And this is served on a tray, no plates! So due to covid we’re wearing masks on our faces but the hotel is serving breakfast on a plastic tray. There was only croissants, yogurt and apples. That’s it!! Being Ibis we expected much more of it. And the room are quite old and a lot of dust everywhere. We’re so glad that we spent only one night there.

Hotel was not bad. Good location if have a car with free parking just beside the hotel and Carrefour just down the road nearby. Room was alright but the air con was not as good as it needed to be. Hotel cleaners didn’t come back to clean the room when we asked (needed 10min to get ready to go out), so had to pick up towels and other stuff from reception. Not really a big deal but staff was nice about it. Breakfast nothing to shout about.

Parking is not free. You have to pay for the parking unless you are lucky to have free street parking space. Walking distance to public transportation and not bad for city tour. Good breakfast.

The hotel itself is okay, a typical ibis styles, the freshly sqeezed orange juice for breakfast is great. But: I chose this hotel because it was one of the few places in Lyon that was left when I filtered the hotel-list for "free parking". This can't be more wrong. There are quite a lot of parking places around, but they were all occupied by people who live in this area. The entrance of the hotel faces a roundabout, so no chance to stop your car in front. I stopped around the corner on the road, and while my wife went in for doing the check-in, a homeless guy opened my car (broad daylight, 3pm). After this frightening but fortunately harmless encounter I didn't want to leave my car outside so I booked a parking space in the very narrow garage of the hotel. When I told the woman at the bar/reception about the parking situation outside, I read in her face that she's aware of this problem. The remark "free parking" should really be removed for this hotel!!!

I stayed there for three nights. Hotel is very good- clean, quiet, modern, decent speed free wifi and pleasant staff who speak fluent English. Its located in a quiet, residential part of town which is a distance from central Lyon but with it's good tram/bus links is only 20mins away from Hotel de Ville. Would definitely recommend.
