Somewhat disappointing - so much potential but so poorly maintained.

I loved my room (I got the loft) and the design of the place overall. The second floor area to also lovely to view the sunset from.

Which the room was clean, the premises were very poorly maintained. The pool was green and completely unusable during my stay. The plants that weren’t under the sky were dry and half-dead. There’s also a bar accross the street which plays very loud music until 11-12 pm twice a week. It’s very loud. The staff was very nice but obviously did not receive the proper training to be able to take care of the place beyond basic functions. They also don’t speak much English and often agree even if they didn’t understand what you said. Whoever owns this place does not seem to be giving it the attention this place needs to reach the level it can reach.

Fine for a short stay to find your footing in Amed but...

My wife and I booked this for a 5 day stay which was too long here. So the goods- nice modern design, good breakfast (or other meals) from cafe next store, immediate volcano views, lots of friendly staff. The street it is on is safer than the main road to walk into town or go for a run.

I just don't see how this is a 9 or 10 for so many people. The location is average- you will need to walk 20-30m+ into main town and beach or moped/taxi. The pool is unshaded and unfinished, not a place you would hang during the day so you will need to find a beach side place to be in the day and pay for drinks or lunch to do so. The staff, while friendly need some real training and experience. Examples- day one we asked where we could book a snorkelling tour in Amed- which is a bit like asking where you could find an Italian restaurant in Rome- and they had no suggestions. So we just booked ourselves some snorkeling on line which was an 8am pick up. Breakfast starts from 745am so we asked for an early breakfast and were politely told that's not possible. Then the next day we see other guests eating breakfast at 7am and were told if you order a particular breakfast you CAN get it earlier. Just more training- or an old school compendium in the room with info and recommendations- which might spoil the hipster vibe- but it would tell you the helpful information you need to know!

Stunning villa

There was unfortunately a problem with the flush mechanism for the toilet which was mentioned to the staff and it seems this maybe is an ongoing problem they have . Not terrible but was slightly annoying.

Perfection.

Anton, Dwi and Kadek - the staff - were always so friendly and helpful. The accommodation was absolutely stunning from every angle. The beds and room were very comfortable and clean. Everything was in working order. The perfect retreat space for singles, couples, friends, anyone!!

Ideal for freediving, great cafe, superb villa—highly recommend!

Perfect location for anyone Freediving, especially with Bali Freediving Amed practically next door. There was a little cafe opposite which was excellent for food and coffee. The actual villa and facility was superb, I can not fault our stay… would highly recommend!

Lieber nicht hier buchen

Das Loft Zimmer ist geräumig und hübsch eingerichtet.

Der Pool wird nicht gereinigt und es hat nur zwei Sonnenliegen ohne Sonnenschutz, somit dient dieser Bereich nur zur Dekoration. Wir haben drei Nächte dort verbracht und nach der ersten Nacht war mein Körper übersäht mit Stichen. Wir vermuten, dass Bettwanzen dies verursacht haben, weil wir auf dem Kopfkissen einen entsprechenden Käfer gefunden haben. Das Personal hat stets die Bettlaken ausgewechselt und uns alternativ ein kleines Zimmer angeboten. Da wir für die Loft vielmehr Geld bezahlt haben und die Kommunikation mit dem Personal sehr schwierig war, weil sie schlecht Englisch sprechen, haben wir es einfach so hingenommen und im eigenen Seidenschlafsack übernachtet. Des Weiteren befindet sich hinter dem Haus eine Baustelle, die uns jeden Morgen geweckt hat. Der Aufenthalt war leider sehr unangenehm für uns und es wurde auch nichts offeriert oder rückerstattet für eine Wiedergutmachung. Das Personal vor Ort hat sich einfach nur entschuldigt.

Magifique villa

Très jolie villa récente, très lumineuse. Chambre spacieuse et bien équipée. Piscine très agréable. A 15 minutes à pieds de la plage. Petit déjeuner livré du restaurant d'en face, très bon et copieux. Personnel très gentil.

Heerlijk! Zouden zeker terug komen :)

Prachtige, rustgevende plek met moderne kamers en een heerlijke ruime badkamer. Zwembad was ook heerlijk en een leuk terras boven om de zonsondergang te kijken. Vriendelijk, verwelkomend personeel!

Enige puntje was wanneer we vroegen of ze een taxi voor ons konden regelen om ‘s avonds te eten en dit ging niet, uiteindelijk wel een telefoonnummer gekregen.

Sehr erholsam

Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft und die Anlage waren sehr sauber und modern, genauso wie auf den Bildern. Das Frühstück konnte man morgens bestellen und wurde aus dem Café gegenüber gebracht. Wir konnten auch einen Roller mieten und es gab keine Probleme. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen!!! Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage :)

Très bel établissement ! Propreté, personnel (un merci particulier à Antone qui fait son maximum pour répondre à vos demandes), petit déjeuner délicieux. Nous avons demandé à l’hôtel de louer un scooter, 30 min après il était devant l’hôtel. Je recommande fortement.

El alojamiento en sí está muy bien. Nuevo y limpio.

Cambiamos los desayunos por 100k IDR / persona para gastar en la cena, con la condición de coger una bebida y una comida, y que en caso de pasarnos podríamos pagar la diferencia. El primer día fue bien, el segundo ya nos dijo la responsable del restaurante que no era posible, que solo zumo y algunos platos. Su actitud ha empañado algo que hasta el momento había ido bien.

Super leuk hotel in Amed.

Prachtig nieuw en mooi verzorgd hotel op wandel- of scooterafstand van Amed en omgeving. Mooie propere kamer, buiten badkamer, super leuk zwembad en terras met uitzicht op Mt Agung. Ontbijt wordt geleverd van het toffe restaurant aan de overkant van de straat, heel lekker.

Het personeel is heel vriendelijk maar verstaat eigenlijk wat te weinig Engels om vlot te kunnen helpen. Er waren enkele misverstanden hierdoor (foute keuze ontbijt, geen scooter ondanks dag voordien geregeld …)

Ich würde wieder kommen.

Die Anlage und Zimmer waren wunderschön und genau wie auf den Bildern. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit und der Pool sauber und angenehm. Der Wasserstrahl in der Dusche war für indonesische Verhältnisse wirklich sehr gut! Restaurants und Cafés waren fußläufig erreichbar. Der Ausblick vom Zimmer auf Mt. Agung war ein Traum!

Es war leider nicht ganz sauber, ich hatte fremde Haare im Bad und Flecken auf der Bettwäsche. In der Dusche hat es teilweise stark nach Abfluss gerochen. Die Lage war etwas abseits vom Hauptgeschehen in Amed.

Très bon séjour calme et agréable, enjolivé par un personnel aux petits soins !

Hôtel très agréable, joli et bien placé. Les chambres sont grandes et très confortables, mais c'est surtout le personnel qui nous a marqué. Ils étaient aux petits soins tout le séjour, ont systématiquement trouvé des solutions à nos besoins et ont été de bons conseils. En particulier Anton, avec qui j'ai pris plaisir à échanger chaque soir pour débriefer nos journées ! L'emplacement est bon dans la mesure où ce n'est pas une grande ville comme Ubud, mais plutôt plusieurs villages répartis tout au long de la côte. Si vous résidez à Villa Sama je vous conseille de louer un scooter afin de pouvoir explorer cette zone ainsi que l'intérieur des terres.

La piscine aurait pu être plus propre. Un des produit douche mis à disposition était vide.
