Nothing at hotel but great restaurant across the road - highly recommend 'Gustos'

Incredibly noisy - staff talking loudly in early hours & noisy shoes on stairs Staff didn't speak much English. At restaurant too busy talking loudly amongst each other and ignoring guests. Need more training. Room big but big glass doors leading on to weird communal internal space meant we had to keep curtains closed all the time

Unfortunately, the rooms are very tired and in need of renovation. I understand that all the efforts are currently being spent on the construction of the second building, but in the first one, the plumbing and doors are already falling apart.

Excellent view, so calm & relaxing.

Fantastic location with ocean views and direct access for snorkeling.room is spacious, a little dated with minor faults but nothing to bring down the view and value for money. Breakfast is simple yet enough. Fabulous restaurant Gusto a very short walk….you must go! We could park our car safely in the spacious car park, then rented a scooter to get around. I would stay here again.

Drain in shower is slow/condensation from air conditioner leaked on floor…….only minor issues, and would not ruin your stay!

The room, facilities and view were amazing. Great value for money

The staff were very friendly however I requested if they could possibly do something for our friends birthday to make it special - I was more than willing to pay for it - even a written message for when he arrived - the response was that they were too busy with check in and check outs - and yet the place was not busy and there were 5 staff sitting on their phones when we arrived - I think anything out of the ordinary is too much trouble - a pity as it could have also been extra revenue for them. Once the roads are fixed (outside of their control) it will be a great location

- The room is smelly of toilet. We have been staying in this hotel for few times and always smelly toilet. We informed to the receptionist but they just said they will have a look. - Breakfast is always awful - Staffs are ok not friendly, they'll talk when they want to

A possible gem that needs a good polish.

The hotel is in a good location with direct access to the ocean and is also along the main snorkelling route which meant our tour guide was able to drop us off to our hotel direct from the boat.

The hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment, or at least a deep clean and this causes the price per night to be a bit high. The bathroom needs a lot of attention to the point that the shower curtain is beyond needing to be cleaned and needs replacing. The breakfast is very simple but ok, otherwise don't bother with the restaurant as even the Indonesian food is not worth eating. A couple of things to also have in mind which aren't necessarily deal breakers are that the hotel has a lot of stairs and the driveway itself is quite a slope so not suitable for people with difficulties walking, also there is almost no shade for the pool area.

The location of the property.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent, and the cleanliness of the property is commendable. Breakfast was also enjoyable, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, I did encounter an issue with one of the front office staff. A particular gentleman who answered my call was noticeably rude and lacked basic hospitality. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but his tone was unfriendly and impatient, which was disappointing compared to the otherwise welcoming environment. One unfortunate incident occurred during our stay—my sister accidentally stepped on a piece of broken tile in the pool area, which caused her foot to bleed. Unfortunately, we forgot to report this to the staff at the time, but we believe it’s something that should be addressed for guest safety. Additionally, I was quite surprised to learn that although I had booked two rooms for two nights, there was an extra charge of IDR 150,000 per child per night for children under 4 years old. For context, we were a group of six—four adults and two children over the age of four. While I appreciated many aspects of our stay, clearer communication regarding extra charges, better pool maintenance, and more consistent service from all staff members would certainly improve the overall guest experience.

A little bit of Greece

Gorgeous resort style with an amazing infinity pool. Lots of steps as it is built on a cliff. The restaurant is at beach level. Pool at the next level. Several levels for the accommodation areas. Well kept gardens and property. Staff a bit hard to find. A few restaurants close by. Amazing sunset views.

Breakfast included however after the first morning we went elsewhere.

The restaurant down on the beach was wonderful.

The male staff appeared very arrogant and not willing to help you or make you feel comfortable. The internet was broken when I arrived. There was no information about when it would be fixed. The shower head spread water all over the bathroom floor. The toilet leaked. There was no drinking water available or facilities to make tea or coffee. The room was advertised as garden view, but turned out to be an undercovered basement view of plastic plants. There were no rooms available for an upgrade. No one told me what activities were available in the area or helped me organize my transport away. I felt cheated.

The view, and being able to snorkel off the pebble beach.

Lack of service. Completely couldn’t give a hoot. It is as if we did them a disfavour by being there. Some could not even bother lifting their heads up from their phone to greet you. Mould everywhere. Peeling paint. No kettle (you have to ask for one downstairs at reception), no tea/coffee making facilities, not even a glass in the room. No maintenance has been done on this property for years. Torn sheets. Mouldy pillows. Stained pillowcases and sheets. No mattress protector. Dirty curtains that hang skew. No bath towels. No hand towels either. A little soap and small shower gel, two toothbrushes and a tiny toothpaste is all you get. You have to ask for them for bath towels. Washed out, thin & grey towels were handed to us. Beach towels washed out as well. Breakfast was awful. Dry toast, no butter. Overcooked eggs. Only went once. And the restaurant should be packed as it is right on the water. Prime location. Next door is under construction. It was not too noisy. This place was shocking and a hard lesson in budget accommodation. How it is on Booking I don’t know. It is a shame the owners have prime real estate and it should be packed with guests and trade.

A beautiful, convenient place, real value for money.

The hotel is located on a sloping land providing excellent view of the garden with the pool area and the ocean. The restaurant was at the beach, opened to the views and the sound of the waves. Amazing coral reef present several meters of the shore for local sinorkelling and diving. Very quiet, restful and idilic in February - very few tourists.

The hotel is missing the effective ventillation and some damp developed in the bathroom and on some walls in the shady parts, despite a large fan and an AC unit present in each room. Some of the staff had very little English so we could not always be understood.

Hotel also offers snorkelling equipment hire at 50,000 IDR which we found reasonable.

The food could be better, but the breakfast is perfectly fine and offers great value for money included in the room rate. I came out of the shower to see a member of the hotel staff taking a picture of hotel guests on our private terrace. The guests were staying on a different floor, so this was a bit of a shock. The bathroom drain had a bad smell. No shampoo, soap, shower gel or drinking water in the rooms.

Highly disappointed and extremely annoyed!

The view from the room was the only positive.

There was no warning whatsoever that construction was taking place on an extension being built right next door. Every morning, including Sunday, the hammering and cutting commenced no later than 7:30 am. No consideration for guests whatsoever! Upon arrival there were no floor mats in the room, and we were told there would not be any as they were all still in laundry. Additionally there were no towels in the room but we did eventually receive those after an hours wait. The cleanliness of the room also left a lot to be desired with cob webs in abundance and infestations of ants. Amed has a great array of hotels and accommodations, I would strongly suggest to look for alternatives from this hotel.

Everything: location just in front of the beach with a great reef for snorkeling. Ocean view from the rooms is gorgeous (book the rooms from floor 3 to up). Rooms are spacious

Breakfast is really basic. Would be nice to improve it a little bit. The curtain in the room allows the morning light to enter and if you are a light sleeper you will end waking up quite early.

Location for what we needed. Quite. Beach is good with nice recif. Spacious room (I took sea view). Nice view. Do not take garden view, you will be with a corridor view.

Great memories.

Affordable with good facilities in a great location. The room is big and the bathroom is very spacious. Nice hot showers. I was here 4 years ago when part of it was under construction and it's turned out really well.

The driveway is a little bit steep and unnerving if you're new to scooters.
