* Excellent location, within walking distance from the city center (20-25 minutes). * Parking near accommodation (paid with very acceptable fee, and free during selected hours/days). * Very straightforward check-in. * Linen, soap, thee and limited coffee cups were included.

* Some of the facilities could use an update or repair (mechanical ventilator in bathroom was largely nonfunctional, coffeemaker required some 'harder' handling for the coffee cups to fit but did work). * For light sleepers only, note that the bedroom in the back may require use of earplugs. Garden is adjacent to the train tracks. I used earplugs and never heard or noticed the trains.

Wonderful location and lovely apartment.

Great location near the train station in a very walkable area. Beautiful garden with sitting and eating space. Nice and comfortable interior. Excellent communication with the host; easy check-in and out.

We liked everything! The beds were very soft (which is great depending on your preference) and the toilet rooms very small (but two toilets so that was great for just two bedrooms).

Great stay in a great location!

Property was very nicely thought out, excellent for anyone with mobility issues as everything was on 1 level, lots of clean towels, AC, good cleaning products too. Tastefully decorated and in building with classic art nouveau facade in a great location with nearby train station, tram stop and shops for food, drink and sundries. Thanks for having lots of great things in your apartment!

Would request a broom or small vacuum to help clean floor. Please consider sheets just when there is warm weather. Sadly there was no washing machine for laundry; would request updating the listing.

The comfort. It is indeed a luxury apartment. I love the layout. Very clean and well furnished. Enough towels and a well equiped kitchen. Love the nice and cosy garden. Breakfast in the garden was a plus. The communication with the host was good.

Well positioned flat for train rides, a 30 minute walk from Ghent center

The property is in a beautiful art deco building. It has a wonderful little garden behind, it's next to the train tracks but you don't really here them when the windows are closed. The kitchen was a nice extra, we bought food at a deli for dinner and warmed it up in the oven. The shower was large and very nice. The hosts sent us an extremely detailed file with all the key info, which made it easy to get to the property and enjoy our time in Ghent.

Sound travels quite a bit, this being a wooden house. We could hear people walking and doors opening and closing on the floor above. One of the rooms could do with darkening curtains, as it gets quite bright in the morning. Both these issues were mentioned to the host, who was very gracious and said he's look into how to solve them for future guests.

Perfect base to explore Ghent, spacious and comfortable

Stunning building, with great location to travel into Ghent and surrounding areas. The living area especially with the garden etc. is very spacious. There are two toilets also, one en-suite so there’s no waiting for the bathroom. As a ground floor apartment it’s also very much accessible for any for whom stairs are an issue. My wife was very pregnant so this was helpful for us. Excellent kitchen facilities with high-end hob top, microwave (the fitted microwave is not an oven, there is no oven) and fridge with freezer compartment. Smart TVs have Netflix and Prime apps built in (and support airplay it seems) so you can log in and watch TV on your own accounts easily. Communicative, friendly host. We were provided all the information we needed, and check-in/out were seamless. The apartment is really nicely furnished, comfortable and we genuinely had an amazing time visiting the Christmas markets (Lille, Antwerp, Bruges as well as Ghent) and returning to the apartment was always a joy. The facade of the building is particularly beautiful.

Negatives were communicated to the host, and did not impact our experience much but are specific and unusual enough to mention: Lights in front bedroom occasionally unexpectedly turned on (including once in early hours of morning), there appears to be a room that was divided without the electrics being separated completely (not sure if it’s a storage room or something). What looks like an oven in photos is actually only a microwave, it’s fitted and a big one but it’s not even a combination microwave. There is no oven. WiFi is shared between apartments which would be fine, but our movie was interrupted about 6 times by somebody trying to configure AirPlay to the wrong device. There are also security implications to sharing a local network, so ensure network shared folders are off on any laptops for example. TVs are in bedrooms (not living area) which does mean having to bunk up a bit to watch a movie together.

Family stay to visit Ghent, Brussels and Bruges.

I loved the accommodations. It was so beautiful. We really enjoyed the garden. We had two toddlers with us so letting them play outside was really nice. One of the rooms has windows to the garden and it is beautiful at night and in the day time. I specially liked that the train station is a 5 minute walk. There is also a little store that opens really late for snacks. The host was really nice and answered all our questions in a timely matter. He also gave me the information about the street parking. Which was super easy to figure out.

Le rapport qualité-prix n’est pas au rendez-vous pour un séjour à deux personnes. Les voisins sont extrêmement bruyants et les trains passent juste à côté de l’appartement, ce qui ajoute encore aux nuisances sonores. L’une des chambres est aveugle, et il n’y a aucune notice pour la télévision ou le chauffage, ce qui rend leur utilisation difficile. La propreté est correcte, mais sans plus : j’ai retrouvé quelques cheveux dans la salle de bain et dans mon lit. De plus, la couette fournie est une couette d’été, ce qui n’est pas adapté lorsqu’il fait froid. La climatisation/chauffage est également très bruyante. Les ustensiles de cuisine sont vraiment limités (par exemple, il n’y avait même pas de poêle). L’entrée dans l’appartement se fait via un simple code, ce qui laisse un doute sur la sécurité — même si j’admets être un peu peureuse. Le wifi ne marche pas bien dans une des chambres même si on se connecte sur le routeur. En bref, le logement est extrêmement cher pour ce qu’il offre. Le prix pourrait être justifié si l’on vient à 4 ou 5 personnes et que l’on cherche une proximité immédiate avec la gare de Gand.

Modern gestaltet und der Innenhof echt schön.

Dusche sieht sehr abgenutzt aus. Passt zum Gesamtkonzept nicht. Ausstattung der Küche könnte besser sein z.b. keine Salatschüssel oder Salatbesteck vorhanden. Lüftung des Badezimmers funktionierte nicht. Es roch recht stark muffig als wir angereist sind.

Nuestra experiencia fue muy positiva. Está situado cerca de la estación de tren, lo que resulta muy cómodo. El apartamento estaba muy limpio y perfectamente acondicionado para nuestra estancia, con todas las comodidades necesarias. El anfitrión fue muy amable y atento, siempre dispuesto a ayudarnos y hacer que nuestra visita fuera más cómoda. Sin duda, lo recomendamos para quienes busquen una estancia práctica y agradable en Gante.

El centro de la ciudad estaba un poco alejado, aunque había muy buenas conexiones de transporte público. Para nosotros, lo más importante era la cercanía a la estación central, y en ese aspecto el apartamento resultó muy cómodo.

Een fantastische woning waar we graag terugkomen!

De woning is een van de mooiste vakantiewoningen waar we ooit overnacht hebben. De hele woning heeft airconiditoning wat heel aangenaam is in de zomer. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Er is een mooie tuin. De ligging is perfect, vlak bij het station, maar toch heel rustig (geen verkeerslawaai etc.). De woning is aangenaam en mooi ingericht en is ook bijzonder ruim (we waren me vier personen). We komen graag eens terug!!

De woning is wat gehorig, je hoort kinderen op de verdieping boven lopen, maar dat was voor ons geen probleem en later 's avonds en 's nachts hebben we niets gehoord.

Wunderschönes Ambiente - perfekt geeignet für Familien mit Hund

Die Lage im hübschen Viertel war perfekt für uns: 4 Minuten Fußweg zum Bahnhof, 30 Minuten Fußweg ins Zentrum (oder ca 10 Minuten mit Bus oder Tram), 2 Minuten zu einem Park mit Hundezone, 2 Minuten zu einem Mini-Supermarkt. Das Apartment und der Garten sind stilvoll gestaltet. Im großzügigen Stadtgarten gibt es 4 (!) verschiedene Sitz-/Liegemöglichkeiten, sodass sich immer ein passender Platz fand (Schatten / Sonne). Es gab Kaffeekapseln ausreichend für unseren gesamten Aufenthalt (5 Nächte). Die Küche ist gut eingerichtet (kein Backrohr!). Olivier, der Gastgeber antwortete rasch und sehr nett auf unsere Frage!

Die Wohnung liegt nahe des Bahnhofs St. Pieter. Ideal um auch andere Städte mit der Bahn zu erkunden

Wir kamen um 13:00 Uhr an, sollten erst ab 15:00 Uhr das Apartment nutzen können. Freundlicherweise konnten wir die Wohnung früher nutzen, da sie schon fertig gereinigt war. Der Eintritt in das Haus und die Wohnung funktionierte mit dem Eingangscode reibungslos. Gleich nach unserer Buchung hatte der Besitzer Kontakt zu uns aufgenommen, wichtige Informationen geschickt und umgehend Fragen beantwortet.
