This place was really homely, it felt like the perfect location for the little town and and amazing view from the kitchen and bedroom.

The property was well equipped, clean and cosy. It was a short walk to the centre of Bakewell. The bedroom was spacious with plenty of space for storage. The kitchen was stocked with essentials such as coffee, tea, washing up liquid, etc. The bathroom had a decent sized bath with powerful shower. The lounge area was cosy with a coal fire and plenty of comfortable sofas.

The property lacks direct access to a road and therefore parking can be difficult, particularly when Bakewell is busy (note, the property provides a visitors parking permit which can be used on nearby roads). The property is split across three levels with steep and narrow staircases, which befit the age and character of the property, but could be unsuitable for people with mobility issues. The lock on the front door was fiddly and required numerous attempts to lock/unlock each time on arriving and leaving the property.

The property was in a good location, but better directions would have helped locating it because the area has poor mobile phone reception.

It was not made clear in the listing that the property is spread over 3 floors and the stairs are v steep. The bedroom is located on the top floor which made it difficult to carry cases to unpack them and also to navigate particularly at night if you need to use the bathroom.
