Just beautiful and such great access.

Absolutely stunning we loved this property. The interior was so interesting and beautifully done. Loved the levels and the bath was such a lovely touch. The whole experience was so lovely. The interior really blew me away. I took so many photos it was stunning. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A great place to stay.

Central location. Spotlessly clean. Lovely interior design touches. Comfortable bed. Bottle of wine and crisps gifted. On main road but secondary double glazing kept out traffic noise. Samsung Smart TV with great selection of channels. Don’t be concerned with parking. I fitted my double cab pick up truck in the designated space.

Charming townhouse in heart of Bakewell

Gorgeous townhouse in the centre of charming Bakewell. We had the most incredible stay, the house is very cosy with stunning interiors, lovely bath in the bedroom and comfortable bed. The host was very friendly and recommended some beautiful walks and an excellent Indian takeaway, Rajas, which was one of the best we’ve ever had, highly recommend the chicken and paneer korma and the specialty lamb curries. Thanks for having us!

Perfect host. Perfect House

Loved the location and the 18th century building along with the beautiful finishing touches. The kitchen is well laid out with a dishwasher herbs and spices. Lots of TV Chanel’s if the weather is against you. Parking was secure and no issues with any other badly parked vehicle’s. Every detail has been considered from shower gel to pillow spray. Loved it!

Ideal location staying in a tastefully furnished period property

Location was perfect within a few minutes walk into Bakewell and so many beautiful places are just a short drive from the property. The property has been tastefully furnished in keeping with the style of property. Really comfortable bed.

Comfortable stay in a beautiful old Georgian property, a stone’s throw from the centre of Bakewellz

Great location, just up the road the centre of Bakewell and only around 10 minutes the other side from the local Bakewell brewery, which hosts family activities and serves great pizza. Lovely facilities to make a meal or enjoy a coffee and breakfast before heading out (but also very close to a great café - Lead Tin Yellow). Even though it’s on a main road, it’s very quiet inside and it doesn’t disturb a peaceful night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed. Overall, a great place to stay in Bakewell!

Cosy apartment in a great location - but better suited to solo/couple travellers

Great location and well-presented, well-appointed little home. Appreciated the wine and crisps on arrival!

Unfortunately there was no curtain/blind in the living room/sofa bed room so it was incredibly light (with a street light right outside), and no bedding available in the property for the sofa bed. There is no door between the main bedroom on the top floor and living room downstairs so no privacy - so this property is better suited to solo or couple travellers. The host became increasingly defensive and unprofessional (and ultimately abusive - I was called “twisted” and a “liar” which was very shocking) when this feedback was provided privately and politely on request, which was very disappointing. If you read the hosts’ response to other negative reviews this is a clear pattern.

Wonderful Georgian townhouse

Great location, wonderful Georgian townhouse, greeted with a lovely bottle of wine & snacks, all necessities were supplied, didn't need or want for anything, definitely recommend this accommodation!

We didn't have a problem with it but the property is over three floors, that said, it is a wonderful layout, also it is on the main road into bakewell, screens are fitted on the windows which cut alot of road noise out but ear plugs for sleeping is an advantage!

Really nice couple of nights in a lovely property.

5mins walk into town. Large modern kitchen. Comfy bed. Large bath big enough for two! Walk in shower as well. Nicely decorated. Complimentary bottle of wine, crisps, coffee pods etc. Thoroughly recommend. Thanks Anya.

Quirky little bolt hole close to town centre.

Lovely place to stay. One bedroom property over 3 floors. Those who have mobility problems may find this a challenge but was described in property information. The parking is very snug indeed, okay for our Mini Cooper but anything bigger would have been a challenge. Our car broke down as we went to depart and we were awaiting the AA when the cleaners arrived. They were really nice and were happy for me to use the toilet when they had already cleaned it once. The location is excellent and the recommended walk into town was a highlight.

As soon as we walked through the door, Haywood smelt clean and fresh. I didn’t realise how close to Bakewell town we were located and the walks into town were beautiful.

Excellent stay in charming country town

Excellent comfortable stay in the charming town of Bakewell. Parking a bonus. Bed very comfortable and although on road it was quiet enough to sleep well.

We left a day early

Very little, we chose badly, it certainly is not luxurious

the lock box is on the floor next to the parking space I had to kneel on the gravel to get it to it. the property is on 3 floors, there are no instructions for light switches which are everywhere. The heated towel rail did not work, so the two towels that they had provided remained wet all weekend, there should have been at least 2 sets of towels as the bath is on the third floor and the wet room on the second floor. Stairs are very steep to each floor - no bath robes , no complimentary slippers. The free bottle of wine and crisps were a nice touch.

The Haywood is a fantastic place and I can't recommend it enough. The property has been beautifully restored and is in a great location in Bakewell, the heart of the Peak District. The decor, fixtures and fittings are high end and the place is spotlessly clean making it a great place to stay. Anya, the host, was a delight to deal with and helped make our stay stress free and enjoyable. The Haywood is located very close (2 minutes walk) to cafes, restaurants and many of the great sights of the Peak District. Parking is a bonus and it is a beautiful place to spend a few days and we can't wait to come back.

Very nice cottage

The cottage is gorgeous! Every mod con you could wish for, comfy bed, great location, beautiful fire... we really liked it. A lovely unexpected touch was to find a complimentary bottle of wine and some crisps on arrival.

Unfortunately, we couldn't use the beautifiul bath due to the water draining out of the plug as it was filling... the water pressure was very slow too. It was disappointing, as this was the main reason we booked the accommodation. The host was very quick to respond to us though, despite being on the other side of the world!
