🌊 A Perfect Seaside Stop at "Les pieds dans l’eau"

We had a brief, but incredibly memorable, stay at "Les pieds dans l’eau" near Saint Malo. Hostess Isabelle was wonderful; though absent for check-in, she ensured everything was perfectly ready and to our liking. The house itself was absolutely amazing—a beautiful setting right by the water! It was such a pity we were only there for one night as part of our road trip. We were delighted to find that Saint Malo is less than 20km away, and it’s now high on our bucket list to properly explore. We will definitely come back to spend more days here and enjoy the stunning location and hospitality. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing

This place is perfect for a calm and relaxing stay — quiet and peaceful. The owners are very hospitable, and Isabelle was especially helpful and kind. I would love to come back and stay longer next time. The view is simply amazing. A couple of tips for tourists: The city center is about a 60-minute walk or a 10-minute drive away. We took a taxi, which cost around 35 euros. So, if you plan to go to the center every day, keep this in mind. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy. However, the floor felt a bit cold for me, so next time I’ll bring some slippers or indoor shoes — I forgot them this time.

Stay here. It's wonderful!

What a wonderful place this is. Truly beautiful surroundings and a large, comfortable room. The host, Vincent is very friendly and welcoming and offers great local advice. I recommend this without hesitation.

Two rooms are ensuite. We had a large room with a separate,private (amazing)bathroom next to the room and toilet down the corridor. This is the only very minor issue as you have to walk down the corridor in the night if you need it.

Wunderschönes Ambiente, aber der Service passt in keiner Weise.

Das Haus mit den Gästezimmern, es gibt 3, liegt in einem großen gepflegten Garten, zwar in der Nähe einer stark befahrenen Durchgangstraße, ist aber nicht störend. Von der Terrasse im Garten hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Rance. Wir hatten ein charmant eingerichtes DZ mit Blick auf die Terrasse und die Rance. Der Empfang von Isabelle und Vincent war sehr angenehm.

Die Anfahrt zur Unterkunft mit einem großen Wagen ist, wenn ein Fahrzeug entgegen kommt, kompliziert. Wir hatten 3 ÜN gebucht. Das inkludierte Frühstück stellte sich als Selfmade Frühstück heraus. In einem. äußerst engen Raum,sozusagen der Treppenabsatz. Wenn alle Zimmer belegt sind, muss einer oder mehrere im Zimmer frühstücken. Das Brot war nur abgepackt. In den Eiergenuss kamen wir nur einmal, da mit uns ein weiteres Paar da war. Im Kühlschrank stand geöffneter Orangensaft vom 1.09. Über das Frühstücksmanko hätten wirnoch drübergeschaut, aber über die Hygiene im Bad nicht. Wir hatten ein kleines Bad mit einer elektrischen Toilette. Hier durfte das Toilettenpapier nur in einem Papiereimer entsorgt werden. Dann wird 3 Tage nicht gereinigt, irgendwann entsteht da ein Geruch. Für uns ein non go. Also muss der Gast dafür sorgen, dass der Beutel geleert wird. So etwas geht gar nicht. Zu teuer für den Service. Schade!

Un endroit calme et confortable à 10’ du centre ville offrant une vue magnifique!

La localisation proche de St Malo et le cadre magnifique. La vue sur la Rance depuis les chambres et salle de bains, la petite terrasse dans le jardin et l’accès à la Rance par un petit sentier au bas du jardin. Le calme appréciable, le confort de la literie.

Notre hôte étant absente lors de notre séjour, le petit déjeuner était dépourvu de de viennoiseries et pains frais, mais il y avait néanmoins de quoi un peu se restaurer.

La casa si trova sul mare e ha accesso diretto ad una spiaggia, il panorama è molto bello. La spiaggia è soggetta alle maree, quindi quando c'è bassa mare è comunque poco utilizzabile per la melma. La casa si trova isolata e lontana da ristoranti e servizi, per cui è meglio organizzarsi per i pasti prima di arrivare

Nella prenotazione ho pagato per una colazione continentale a buffet, invece abbiamo trovato una situazione inaccettabile. La colazione era self service in un'aria comune, con pochissimo spazio per tutte le camere. Il cibo a disposizione era confezionato e di pessima qualità, non c'era niente di salato ma solo pane industriale e un barattolo di nutella praticamente finito. Nel frigorifero c'erano latte e succhi di frutta a disposizione di tutti, senza il minimo controllo e con poche garanzie igieniche. Avrebbero dovuto mettere almeno confezioni monodose. Le date scritte a pennarello sul latte risultavano di 5 giorni prima. Appena arrivati ho fatto presente alla struttura che la colazione non corrispondeva a quanto prenotato, mi è stato risposto che dovevo farmela andare bene così... non c'è stata nessuna disponibilità a trovare alternative. Inoltre, la sala colazione era davanti alla nostra stanza quindi sia di notte che all'alba siamo stati svegliati da ospiti che usavano stoviglie e facevano rumore. Anche in camera non c'è stata privacy, la porta del bagno è una persiana, quindi non isola i rumori e gli odori del bagno. Poi gli asciugamani puzzavano di muffa, erano inutilizzabili. Un grande peccato perché la struttura è carina, curata nell'arredamento e ha una bellissima posizione sulla baia. Con una gestione più accurata e migliorando i servizi meriterebbe la cifra che ci hanno fatto pagare. Con i pessimi servizi ricevuti è esageratamente cara. La sconsiglio assolutamente.

Wunderschöne Lage mit toller Terrasse und schönen Blick auf die Rance

Die Lage war einfach wunderbar. Das Haus liegt an der Rance und man hat vom Garten mit schöner Holzterrasse einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Fluß. Die Zimmer waren sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Das Frühstück bereitet man sich in der kleinen Küche selbst zu, aber es ist alles im Kühlschrank was man für ein gutes Frühstück benötigt. Wenn man die Ruhe nach einer Sigthseeing-Tour genießen will, ist das Haus genau das richtige. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Très bel endroit à l'embouchure de la Rance.

A deux pas de St Malo mais loin de la foule, une superbe maison, une vue à couper le souffle, un environnement idyllique surtout en été, un accueil prévenant et efficace. Tout est prêt pour le petit déjeuner que l'on prend en autonomie à l'heure qu'on souhaite. Un seul regret, nous n'avons passé que 2 nuits, nous serions bien restés plus longtemps pour apprécier le lieu et le cadre.

Ein tolles Haus, Zimmer liebevoll und schön. Die Aussicht auf das Meer unbezahlbar. Das Frühstück zum selbstmachen war für und Super, so konnten wir sehr flexibel unsere Ausflüge planen.

Sehr schöner Ort direkt am Wasser.

Das Haus liegt ganz wunderbar am Wasser. Man guckt aus dem Fenster und von der kleinen holzterrasse darauf. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Alles ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Es gibt Snacks und Wein gegen Gebühr, die man sich abends mit auf die Terrasse nehmen kann.

Die Frühstückssituation ist etwas beengt. Wir hatten Glück. Das Wetter war gut. So konnten wir auf der Terrasse frühstücken. Das Frühstück bereitet man sich selbst zu. Das sollte man wissen um nicht enttäuscht zu sein.

Tranquillité, vue magnifique sur la mer, propreté de la chambre.

Déçue par le petit déjeuner. Pain industriel en sachet plastique, certains pots de confiture quasi vides et fruits qui ne sont pas de première fraîcheur. Coin petit déjeuner aménagé avec goût mais pas adapté car très réduit sur le palier. Lorsque tous les locataires prennent leur petit déjeuner à la même heure, il n’y a pas suffisamment de places assises pour tous.

Très bel accueil d’Isabelle qui nous a même conseillé quoi aller voir et où aller manger! La chambre était très commode est super cosy! Le petit déjeuné en self service c’est super sympa avec les produits bretons ! L’endroit est incroyable, paradisiaque! De plus rien à dire sur la propreté!

Très bel emplacement . Chambre spacieuse, claire avec vue sur mer . Très propre et fonctionnelle. Aménagée et décorée avec beaucoup de goût.

Pas de télévision , même si le spectacle est dehors … c’est un peu regrettable. Coin petit déjeuner absolument pas adapté , très réduit sur un palier 🤨 Là encore, aménagé avec beaucoup de de goût .

Je recommande fortement !

Etablissement très bien situé (10mn du centre ville en voiture). La vue de la chambre est sublime (vue mer). Très propre. Le jardin est bien entretenu et magnifique. Petit + pour le café sur la terrasse du jardin vue mer le matin. Accueil fait par message mais cela n'est pas dérangeant (arrivée autonome).

Manque 1 télé + la baignoire était 2x plus petite que sur les photos de la chambre (on peut seulement être assis dedans).
