Amed Permai Home Stay

The apartment and the furniture is in amazing condition, very clean and close to the beach, supermarket, restaurants. The personnel have been very welcoming and kind to us, very professional.

The only thing we disliked was the accommodation’s driver. His driving skills are very professional, but unfortunately, we didn’t like his attitude. He was quite pushy and acted as if we were expected to use only his services. For example, when we asked him to drive us somewhere but took a nearby taxi back, he questioned why we hadn’t called him instead. He also told us that his price was the lowest available. However, when I contacted another agency, they offered us exactly the same trip for 80,000 IDR less. When we told him about the cheaper offer and said that we would prefer to go with the other agency, he eventually agreed to match the lower price. During a full-day trip, he also recommended visiting a place that turned out to be a tourist trap. We trusted his judgment and ended up paying 200,000 IDR per person to enter an open-air museum that simply wasn’t suitable for travelers like us, who prefer experiencing with our own eyes rather then through lenses of the camera (the place is called mahaganga valley - nice if you like to take picture on the swing, etc, but if you don't, definitely not worth the money) I hope that if he reads this review, he will be more transparent with future guests about what kind of attraction it is and how much the entrance fee costs. This would allow people to decide for themselves, without any pressure, whether the experience is worth visiting for them.

This accommodation exceeded all my expectations and was for me the best place I stayed in Bali. The host and the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, attentive, and helpful throughout my entire stay. They helped me organize my excursions and even personally drove me to some of the places I wanted to visit. No matter what time it was—even 1 a.m. when I wanted to see the sunrise at Mount Batur—the family was always there for me and made sure I had everything I needed. Their genuine hospitality made my stay truly special. It was an unforgettable holiday, and I will always remember the kindness and warmth I experienced here. I couldn’t recommend this accommodation and this wonderful family enough!

It is in the middle of shops ans warungs. The stuff is very friendly. Breakfast was very good and had big portions.

The sheets were a bit yellow-ish, but they changed it immediately for us.
