The bungalow is really nice, right in front of the beach. The place is very quiet so we weren’t not disturb at all. The staff is super nice and arranging. The restaurant is really good too.

Excellent value for money, staff extremely kind and helpful, the room with a sea view was lovely. Breakfast was tasty, with a few options. Safe, friendly and relaxed environment. Plenty of snorkeling opportunities just around the corner - and actually even in front of the hotel. Would probably deserve a 0.5 higher rate but Booking doesn't allow that :)

Like many hotels with similar architecture, the acoustic insulation is not great so ine has to hope other guests at breakfast are respectful - but the plus is being able to fall asleep with the sound of waves

really nice small hotel, old style wooden buildings, beautifully painted. gorgeous huge bathroom, with nice shower. room was built of planks, with lots of openings in between, so aircon was not super effective- but serviceable. staff was amazing! view gorgeous, food excellent, loved our stay.

because gaps in planks it wasn’t sound ‘proof’ and aircon didn’t work efficient. could still sleep well.

Next to the beach, with a characteristic Japanese build and very good kitchen we had a lovely stay.

The rooms are very different. Only two are at the front at the beach and are great. Others are more in the back.

Perfect location, beautiful sunset, spacious room, nice breakfast, attentive staff. We stayed only one night, but it was amazing to wake up with the sound of waves and the view of the sea.

The only positives are staff are nice, on the beach, and it’s in a good location.

Not sure where to start. The front office runs like a decent resort with good communication and staff in uniforms always on standby. But the place itself is pretty shabby. Our room facing the pool has no windows (cannot see outside). The pool is dirty a la water is murky. The bathroom is missing lights and way too dark, sink is clogged, full of dark wet corners where mosquitos lurk. We made the mistake of turning off the a/c (thinking save electricity) and returning an hour later the entire room smelled like mold and wet dog. The sheets all smell sour from not being properly dried. The sweeping outside starts early and very audible from inside as if sweeping under the bed. A poor nights rest and an early wake up from the sweeping. The breakfast was also mediocre at best: the fruit platter was a few pieces of tasteless fruit in various states of under ripeness, the full English set was an assemblage of convenient store products: white toast toasted hard and dry, tasteless bacon and sausage, canned baked beans (tiny ramekin and not even warmed up) next to half an under ripe tomato and some eggs. And It took quite a long time to prepare which made us late to our snorkeling appointment. Also not sure what the espresso machine was there for since the coffee is bali kopi. Oh and the room internet is too weak or unavailable most of the day — cant even load google maps it’s so slow and weak. It looks like some resort took over this property and is charging a premium for front office services but the place leaves a lot to be desired. And this was one of the more expensive places we looked at.

Jemeluk room location was awesome. Beautiful out look from the verandah right to the beach. A very peaceful, tranquil place to stay. Well located and very clean room and grounds. Staff were all lovely.

Aircon was a bit noisy and struggled to keep up in the wooden structure but a small gripe on an overall lovely stay.

We loved our beachfront room with view on the ocean, just perfect. Nice food, lovely staff and very close to a wonderful snorkeling location (jemeluk bay).

Can’t think of anything particular. The beach is not sandy, but we knew that in advance.

Lovely staff, perfect waterfront location, cute rooms and handy pool.

The location can't be beat, right on the beach, where you can have breakfast every day overlooking the ocean. You can see both the sunset and the sunrise from here, with nice views on the volcano as well. The staff is lovely, they'll do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible and will help you out with any excursions or transport you want to book. The rooms are very nice, some more spacious than others, but the bed is very nice, most rooms I've been in had great views, there's mosquito repelling devices present, complimentary water, a little fridge, the outdoor bathrooms are very nice too, I always really enjoy staying in this hotel. Breakfast is pretty nice, too, and very plentiful :)

The room I was staying in this time around was a little less convenient, with a lot of narrow staircases, and not a lot of room around the bed, nowhere you could really sit down or even properly put your suitcase, unless you want to put it on the lower floor where the toilet is, but again, not very convenient. I made it work, but lay-out wise, I preferred the family room and the room with the balcony by the beach that I stayed in the last two times. The bed is also in the middle of the room, and kind of facing away from the views, don't quite understand the reasoning behind that, if they'd put it the other way around and closer to the wall, that would have already made a huge difference. It was also quite a long way to get to the shower, and there was no mirror over the sink, which was a little annoying. And the prices are a little on the high end for the area. All in all, I didn't mind too much, I always enjoy staying here, but it's things you might want to keep in mind.

the room was really cutest have ever seen. bed was really comfortable. the pool is great. Also there is a direct access to the beach which is great to observe sunrise. you can snorkeling easily in front of the hotel.

Good location. Typical delicious breakfast. Interesting design of the room and overall space. Near the rocky beach with sun loungers, there is a swimming pool. Close to 10 minutes walk to Sunset Point.

There is no soundproofing - any noise only intensifies. This is the main drawback in my opinion. There is no feeling of comfort, because you can hear absolutely everything that happens with the neighbors. There is no hair dryer in the room (this is important), there is no locker for clothes and hangers where you can hang things. Very inconvenient washbasin, besides clogged (water does not drain well). All things considered, the room is much more expensive than it should be.

Great location and perfectly on the beach but a little bit back from the nocturnal noise of dogs and boats. It is a beautiful place, Japanese style, made from off-cuts and scraps of interesting wood. Full of character and charm. Our room was on four floors - shower on the ground floor, loo on first floor with an area for clothes, bedroom on third floor and a small (and hot) fourth floor room which would be good for meditation or yoga if you could take the heat. Lovely plot and serene pool. Staff are lovely.

It was quite expensive compared to other similar properties which included breakfast. I found the breakfast here expensive and no better than the standard ‘breakfast included’ model of other nearby places. Tea / coffee should be available in the room or a kettle or flask. I asked for a kettle and did get one. Nowhere to sit - only on the bed or in the public areas- despite being on 4 floors. Hard to get the room cool. Steep stairs to other floors (don’t stay here if you get up in the night).

Location on the beach. Small and intimate. Aircon. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was good quality and reasonably priced.
