Excellent, will definitely be back

Very close to everything, pubs, bars, shops great central location.

Nothing to fault other than no hot water in the bathroom sink. Nice powerful shower, comfy bed, fridge and everything we needed in the kitchen.

It was a pleasant stay. Just a few things described above needs fixing.

The excellent location. Very clean and tidy. Spacious enough for two people. All standard faculties are available.

The blind in the bedroom needs to be fixed. The front door downstairs cannot be locked. The tap in the toilet did not have hot water. Toilet is very slow to fill.

A very basic property and not worth £150 a night!!

The location was the only positive about this property

Dirty- shaved hair in the bathroom sink, stains on blanket, dirty plates and cutlery, toilet back flows so water was brown when we arrived and this kept happening throughout stay Kitchen- plates and bowels all chipped, mix match and minimal cutlery, not enough glasses, no plug for the sink so difficult to wash up, missing utensils for cooking Living area- sofa and poof not comfortable, could do with some blankets as it feels cold and not comfortable, would be nice to have lamps in the living room as big lights are very bright and stark, tv not great and remote ran out of batteries. Bedroom- blind faulty Entrance- not welcoming and outside door always left open/ difficult to lock so doesn’t feel very safe. A very basic property and not worth £150 a night!!

Ideal for a short stay

Great location (near the river) with a spacious living room and sofa; overall clean and well-equipped with plenty of cooking tools and appliances.

The bedroom layout is a bit weird, as the bathroom connects the room to the hallway, making it impossible to enter or exit if someone is inside. The bedroom window is stuck, which feels less private if you prefer keeping it fully closed while sleeping. The toilet flush is also quite weak and doesn’t work well.

A handy base for Lakeland exploring

The property could not be more central for exploring Bowness-on-Windermere; it's two minutes' walk away from the lake, a small supermarket, shops and bus stop, which is helpful for those travelling via public transport.

The property would benefit from some soft lighting in the lounge/kitchen area, also a few more items of glassware, crockery and cutlery.

The only bad thing was having to leave!!

Oak View Apartment was quite simply - amazing. Spacious and clean with everything we needed. The bed was soooo comfortable, which can be really hard to find in a holiday rental. The location couldn't have been more perfect, just around the corner from the lake and lots of lovely restaurants, bars and beer gardens literally steps away. Checking in and out was super easy and considering you're getting an entire apartment in a perfectly central location the value for money is excellent! The only thing people might need to be aware of when booking is there are quite a few stairs. Didnt bother us at all but worth knowing for anyone with accessibility issues. Overall we would highly recommend and will definitely be back if we get the chance!

The apartment was not cleaned to a high standard. The floors are so uneven throughout. When booking the photos showed a separate lounge with sofa and armchair.

Village Centre Living

This is a great self-catering unit in the heart of the Bowness village looking over the Ash Street pedestrian mall. The first floor unit does have a two floor walk up from the lane behind it, but has a well equipped kitchen, lounge room, bedroom, large comfy bed, modern bathroom with plenty of hot water, good wifi, and easy self check-in using a keysafe at the entry door. There is no parking at the unit so, after dropping off the luggage, paid parking is available nearby at the Rayrigg Rd carpark for 10GBP/day or 22GBP for 3 days. We stayed 2 nights and could easily have stayed a full week.

No hassle getting the keys or accessing the building, had a lovely stay.

Didn't like the walk to the main door as it smelt and looked rather dirty, gave an awful impression to a lovely apartment. Id suggest trying to have a clear up of the area.

Clean, central, convenient and completely encompassing

Position was really central, with a pub next door and and another across the road. Shops all very short walk away and the lake just down the street. Wonderful that on arrival there was tea and coffee milk and sugar. Level of cleanliness was excellent thank you 😊 will definitely stay again.

The only thing we didn't like was that we had to leave early as I had a fall at the lake (my fault completely).

Oakview was an amazing little apartment.

I was impressed by the brilliant instructions to locate the property inBowness ( I’m fairly local, visiting family). The apartment was as seen in the photographs and was perfect for a couple. The location was brilliant, right in the centre. The bed and pillows were probably one of the comfiest staycation beds I’ve ever slept in ( as good as my simba mattress at home). Very clean and well organised apartment. I’m we’ll definitely stay again. Worth every penny!

Loved everything except “ no shower mat” - I have a balance condition, so it is a requirement for me.

Lovely host but think a lower price could be offered

The person over text was amazing! But £140 for one night in the condition it was in wasn’t worth it. I’m sure if it wasn’t Mother’s Day weekend we’d have had a better deal and it would’ve felt worth it. Just little things like no bin, un-eaven floor, really early check out (to be fair they gave us an extra 15 mins) but when you’re paying £140 for one night I just expected a bit more! Host was so lovely but think they could’ve offered a lower price for the quality of it.

We had our anniversary in bowness and the flat is the perfect place for us as we love to cook. Kitchen is complete with

I love that it is very close to the bowness pier where you can walk around and easily get into the ferry. A lot of shops and restaurants nearby as well.

The only thing is the toilet and shower is in the hallway as you enter the bedroom. It did not bother us but just a heads up if you are planning to book the place.
