Pleasant hotel just outside main centre of Liverpool

Breakfast was excellent, room was very clean, well kitted out and spacious. Staff were very friendly.

I didn't like being invited to check in online only to find that the link didn't work. I was told that this was because I booked the hotel less than 24 hours before arrival - in that case, why send the link at all?

Very disappointed

Only good thing is location.

It was filthy, the bedding didn’t fit the bed. No housekeeping the whole time we was there. No neon reception and no answer from the phone when calling. I have emailed and received no correspondence at all. Very disappointing stay for our yearly trip to Liverpool.

A fantastic excellent value stay close to the city centre and M&S bank arena,

It was a modern well equipped hotel with great facilities including a lovely restaurant where we had dinner. The bed was comfortable with a great shower. The discount on the car park was very welcome and we were so close to the M&S bank arena so could walk there and back as well as been near the city centre. Everything was just great and we’d stay there again.

It was cold in the restaurante/ bedroom. The bathroom fan stayed on all the time £20 for wines a ridiculous price.. No comfort in the bedroom the floir was hard & coldd. Only 1 chair in a double room

Great hotel really central and great value

Clean and modern hotel Breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful. Staff were all very helpful amd friendly Beers at the bar were £6 which is decent for hotels in the area

Room was clean and comfy. Nice view of Albert dock. Temperature in the room was good, but we need we to open the window in December to have some fresh air. Located perfectly near a tesco and 2 mjns walk to Liverpool 1 centre

Wonderful and can't wait to return.

From the moment of check in I was made to feel welcome. I was travelling on my own and felt very safe and happy that I would be looked after. I never felt out of place and enjoyed all aspects of the hotel and would come back again on my own and also bring friends with me next time.

The hotel could not offer me a room on a higher floor as one whole floor was blocked off and the hotel was full. This did not detract from my stay, the room I had was very quiet as I had requested (being the last room at the end of the corridor, perfect) and I still had a good view of the river.

This was a very safe, clean and well located hotel

Hotel is located in a good area, easy access to Albert Dock and waterfront and Liverpool One shopping a 5 minute walk the other way. Check in was very easy - we both checked in online and checked out online - so all we needed to go was collect and drop off the room keys - very efficient. The room was spotless - if a little small. we had a view of the road, and the construction site next door - luckily we had the Anglican cathedral also in the picture, and it was a Sunday so, no noise from the building works. Also, no noise from the corridor or adjoining rooms - so that's always a bonus. The breakfast option was outstanding - everything catered for and very tasty too, and the staff were on hand to help if needed - it set us up perfectly for the day This was a very safe, clean and well located hotel - and we would stay here again

The pillows were a bit of a challenge to find the right comfort, but that's a personal choice and me being ultra picky. Overall - everything was very good and we enjoyed our stay

Excellent location and great value for money

The hotel is in an excellent location. A gentle 5 minute walk to the docks and restaurants and a 10 minute walk into the City Centre. The rooms were spacious and well designed. The bathrooms were modern and clean and had a great rain shower.

I like a carpet on the floor but the wooden floors were clean.

Our room had been used/ was dirty

One of the rooms was fine, location was good. Not completely in the thick of it, but a short walk.

One of the rooms when we arrived had been used and was extremely dirty. We checked in at 4am (as we agreed previously with receptionist) to a used room. The customer manager suggested this was because we checked in at 4 and the system marks a no show at 2am, which is blaming it on us and obviously complete rubbish, as nobody slept in the room/ messed it up in the two hour gap. We were offered a ‘complimentary coffee’ whilst we waited for the room to be cleaned at 4am (noting you would get this in your room in any case).

I liked that it was very modern and the check in and check out could be done online which meant for a quicker process when arriving to the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed! Breakfast was also fantastic. Also very central which was fab

Despite staying in August the room was very cold. The temperature controller is inoperative, I asked reception twice to increase the room temperature but neither request was actioned. Also didn't much like the aspect of the room, windows just opened into a dull internal space.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and housekeeping made my bed and put in clean towels, cleaned bins, topped up everything every day, very close to everything and nice and quiet and my room faced the road, will definitely stay here again.

Extremely disappointment with client support after stay

Bed was comfortable

On July 3 I happily checked-in in person on the Maldron Hotel and paid in cash the city tax. For my surprise after checked-out on Jul 5 the city tax has beed taken out of my credit card again by the hotel. Contacted the them via booking.com and directly on their email and no reply at all. What a shame!!! and therefore my bad review as no client support at all.
