The position, right in the istorical city. And the apartment was very spatious, cosy and comfortable.

Excellent location from which to explore Amboise on foot. We were always able to park within a few minutes walk from the apartment. It is really convenient for shops, cafes and restaurants. The apartment is very comfortable and very well equipped and we were provided with a great deal of information before and during our stay.

The apartment renovation is pretty good. Kitchenette is nice. Microwave and oven, and dishwasher were in high use. It's nice to be able to self cater but we also went out for a few meals too. Plenty of nice options nearby.

The shower head on the cord is barely long enough for tall people to use and it's frustrating to have to have a one-handed shower as the holder for the head is designed for a two-foot tall person. The apartment was unfortunately noisy at night - perhaps that's normal here for old buildings but music from outside and upstairs neighbours stomping around led to poor sleep every night. It also would have been nice to be provided with a few things to make stay easier, rather than having to shop for them ourselves; e.g. dishwashing detergent, enough tablets for dishwasher to get through the stay, hand soap in bathroom, spray to wipe down cooking surfaces, very limited toilet paper, no extra bin bags, Lastly, entry to the accommodation felt unnecessarily complicated because parking is challenging. We had to carry bags and shopping a fair way from the car on our first day, in low light because the 4 pm check-in was very strictly adhered to. Warning, the staircase is dangerously dark with only one working light and some small steps on the turns. Advice to future visitors: we had a lot of luck getting a park in Quai de Marais. You get one hour for free, then can buy approx 3 hours for €5. Keep doing this until 630pm, then it's free to stay overnight in the street til 9am the next day.
